Ey how's it going everyone. This isn't really my first grow, I've had 2 others but they were complete failures because I was learning pretty much most of it.

So I am starting over with this grow. I am growing currently 4 plants unless the g13 power skunk decides to come back to life.

My first is the second biggest and lightest color of the bunch the Skunk #1, which is the one on the lower right of the first pic.

The rest thou I have no idea I just grabed them out ofa bag so its a mystery to those with an adventerious (completely spelt wrong) soul.

The two biggest I planted on Dec 10 which would make them exactly 3 weeks old. The smaller one is 2 weeks old and the lil baby i got in the middle I planted bout 4 days ago.

I am using 1/4 Foxfarm GrowBig for now and a tablespoon of Flora Blend Vegan Composite Tea every week i change the water on my 8-Drip hydroponic system that I'm eventually guna turn into 4.

I am using a 400watt Hortilux MH Bulb for vegin than a 600watt Hortilux Super HPS bulb with an enhanced spectrum for flowering.

My exhaust is a 6" Vortex and my intake is a simple 6" Inline Duct Fan.

The lights about a foot off the beauties, constantly driped on with a 18/6 light schedual.

Enjoy the many detailed High Quality Pics, I'm free for any questions or comments:bigjoint:

For this grow I'm not going to clone because I just want to make it thru the grow haha they are all feminized just my buddy was dumb and mixed them up
I'm going to let them grow about 2 feet b4 flowering
the thing is though when would be a good time to trim, would I be able to do that now? I'm deffinitly going to trim and firm because I only have bout 7 feet of height of grow room and I wana bush them bitches out ;-)
ever since i started using that tea they have been shootin up and massively bushin out within

pst. my light is air cooled, how high should I have it off them?

I allways start topping young... Probably when they have 2 or 3 growth nodes.... probably top/fim the 3rd growth node... then the wait 2 then fim top again... wait two..again... and you should have some bushes... You can allways do the supercropping too.. have you seen my thread on that?

About the light... you test it with the back of your hand... go way low under the light and start slowny coming up towards the light with the back of your hand... the moment you feel a little itch..right before you feel allot of heat.. thats the spot... What i like to do is once i know how far away from the light i can go with my hand..... I hang a string with a paper clip from the hood to that same spot... that way its a quick visual to see if your light needs to be raised or not.... Ya Dig?

also the bottom leaves are turing a bit brown at the edges is that anything to worry about?:?:

Ima top right now but im not too sure where to top so I have 2 pictures of both the babes. I know how to top but dont know which node to top above.
skunks on the right.
i dont top like that... I have seen some people cut like that... I would do those cuts if i was to clone the tops... but if i just want more tops and dont get rid of much..

Where you want to top is right at the top...

so what you do is this... on the very top you will see that the new growth is composed of leaves wrapped around more leaves and then if you spit all of those open a little you see a little nub... those are gonna be your new growth.... all you have to do is open up the tops gently ... and then top in the inside of that.. just the little nug.... I wuld cut like in the pics if you needed to clone or if it would be too tall... (but for tallness you know i preffer suppercropping.

if it is only on the old leafs i wouldnt worry too much about it... it looks like alittle chemical burn... have you been overfeeding?... I usually dont even feed until im flowering....

Well the way you did the topping will definitely work. You have understood that those two shoots will be your tops now so eliminating the center trunk above it makes those grow taller which in turn become tops... Great.. It will do.

But, I dont do it like that... There is a few reasons for it.. Mainly cause that just looks nasty, and it is a pretty big open spot. That little nub you left will either a die... or b grow something. I dont think it will do B.. But good luck bro.

The way i was trying to explain to you, (And im sorry i couldnt do a better part) would have allowed you to possibly get 3 or 4 shoots. and definately when it was done you wouldnt have a dead spot in the middle of your main stem.

In the pic that i edited of yours i circled those tops... You see how they have two larger leaves wrapping out? those are the type of spot i open up slightly and the little nub in there(well not those.. but the very top growth that looks like that)... or small group of leaves really is what you cut all the way off or leave the bottom 1/4 to try and get more... That is topping or fimming.

but dont worry man... the way you did it works just fine... but you just put yourself back that far along... by doing it my way the new growth splits and becomes tops.. plus it slows down the growth of the top so the bottom shoots below catch up as well... its just cleaner and more efficient.

oh....damn
i know what youre saying because I remember opening it up and seeing that lil nub
i was thinkin to myself thou otherwise because ive seen other grow journals where they just top above the hair thing (the thing that determines if its male or female) and so did my growing book.
Damn man does that mean it wont grow any taller?:wall:

no, she will be fine. those two exposed shoots you left will grow nice and strong...dont worry. And they will grow as much as you want... as long as you keep them in veg they grow... some grow faster than others ... but they grow.

Yea I use distilled water the pH is a whole lot lower and much easier to manage and I change the water once a week, 20 bucks a week but I live with it.

soon once i save some money im guna get a filter that connects to my sink and pumps water into my system.

I gota wait till I change my water again so I can take out the empty pots and have only four pots and seperate them a lil bit cause they are starting to over lap eachother :-P

this commin week im bumpin up the nutes
they guna nut themselves once they taste this shit :fire: muahaha

the only thing that really sucks is that I have to actually take out the plant from its pot (because theres two compartments one for the plant and the other for the roots and water) and mix the pH down and calculate that way.
Major pain in the ass cause i heard your not suppose to touch your babes with your hands and they are starting to get pretty heavy. I'm trying to figure out an easier way
