1st indoor grow, ready to harvest?

Hey all...
I am nearing harvest on my 1st indoor grow and i'm looking for opinions on how i"m doing.
I started with a 4ft 2X40 watt flourescent and have since added 9 more to bring me to 800 watts. I didn't discover this site until halfway through my grow so my lighting may seem odd to the veterans.
I like the flourescents because they keep my room at a reasonable temp and don't require me to vent my room to the outdoors which could alert the neighbors. What is the major downside to 4ft flourescents? Everyone who has been growing for awhile seems to be using HPS... Is it just because you only need 1 light instead of my 10? I am using grow bulbs as well as just regualr cool whites as this helps to cover all the spectrums of light. Does using the flourescents slow the growing process?
My plant is a White Widow and the flowering is in week 11. I started flushing 1 week ago and plan on harvesting in 1 week. I bought a jewelers microscope that was supposed to be 30X but i think it's more like 10X The trichomes are still mostly clear and my concern is i'm going to harvest too soon and not get as much weight.
I attached some pics for you all so you can let me know if i should go ahead with the harvest in a week or if i should postpone for another week or what. Any constructive advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey man great job!! I got everything ive ever grown started with flourescents. Its my understanding that your supposed to wait until most of the tric's have turned an amber color. The jewelry microscope should be perfect for checking those out! Hope this helps ya!

I would wait longer than another week but i've got a new kitchen coming in 3 weeks from now and i want to make sure my house doesn't stink like a pot farm. Any suggestions on how to subdue the beautiful smell that has taken over my house? Just use a bunch of air fresheners for the time being or is there an alternative that would work more effectively. i plan on posting some more pics tomorrow. Thanks for the help and comments. Yea, You can buy this stuff in a can called ozone. It Instantly makes you house smell like a hospital room.
I got some but I hate the smell of hospitals.

even if you harvest today the smell will be there in 3 weeks cause of drying and curing (that's when my house smells the worst-best) so unless you have somewhere else to finish them you definitely might wanna invest in deodorizer like cruzer said. by the way phenomenal looking plants for a straight flouro grow. and in my opinion they are almost done. I usually dont wait till they turn amber but more of a cloudy white but its all a matter of preference. just remember too long and thc degrades!
