are you sure its a 50-100-150 watt bulb and not a 50-100-150 equivalent? i bought one of those on accident a while back at lowes. read the plastic on the actual bulb. see what it says. good luck growing

haha its not muddy or like clay there is 1/3 of peat moss in the soil mix, the only part of the soil that seems thicker or like clay? haha for wut ever reason is cuz the first light we had in there was making it way to hot and the first quarter inch of the soil would hold that water and thicken but under that top is nice soil, its just potting soil, peat moss and when we transplanted we added compost to the mix

as for the new light right now i cant go look at the bulbs cuz it's in the night cycle, but here is a pic of the box it came in.

as for the blurry parts ill fill it out for u, sry shitty phone camera all i got haha i thought HTC was supposed to be better

right under the 50/100/150WATT says
Replacement, uses only
and under the 1 for, 1 bulb at the bottom left of the box says
light output:900/1,600/2,600 lumens

i have the day off tomorrow so hopefully we can converse faster lol :bigjoint:

Yeah, i guess it is just the top of the soil thats kinda been baked to what it is now, forgot how freaking hot that light was. Sry Buddy.

I hope the plant will overcome the massive change in light. We just want to challenge ourselves with this one, see if we can make anything.
We both live in the same town and no use throwing away a plant thats still growing that may somehow surprise us all :)
I'll look into another seed for the time being. I would like S7even and I to make a super nice, super solid plant by the end of the year.
I'll call you tomorrow or text me Bud we'll get together to see our options :)

I am no master grower but that plant is not looking good. I would scrap it and start over. You are just wasting your energy on it. I didnt read all the thread but thats one weird looking specimen. Kill it. Start over and give it some decent light and conditions. If it turns into a good plant i will eat the stalk.

do you guys have perlite in your soil?
it holds water and when it gets heated it expands and lossensthe dirt for your roots have room to grow.
dirt compacts after it drys making it really hard for anything to grow

yes there is perlite in the soil it was pre mixed in the potting soil i used, this morning tho wen i opend up my closet, theres a whole new leaf set that has come out and it seems to be much happier with those 2 cfl's. To me it looks like 7 or 8 leafs coming out of nowere on the right side and the newer leafs look more pointed, cant complain there. This plant wasnt sapposed to become sumthing smokeable move of a trial and error, so far all error lol. But hey the seed was free and its a great learning expeirence for when i go all out on my next plant. Heres a pic of this morning of the top new leaf set.

I don't know if there is any Perlite in the soil but I'll check the bags. The compost I have here at home is fairly dense but we mixed it with peat and so on so I don't believe it does.

@ S7even, Today i'll give you a call and we'll see what we wanna do. If these guys are saying it could produce something, why not try and see what else we can learn along the way. Possibly make a 2nd plant and do it "right" =P

Text me when you're up or free :D

yea i have it as close to the light as possible pretty much, and i have it so that as it grows, the shelf that the plant is on can go down so the light stays put, good set up jus not quite the right tools needed i guess, well im just lacking experience I suppose. i cant wait to see the next week of radical change, it looks like i finally have a pot plant growing on top of this bull shit i grew first ahahahaha

Now she's starting to bush out on you!! The more light, the faster she will bush out. Maybe not tomorrow, but I'd get 2 more Y splitters and put 4 CFL's above her as she gets a little bushier.bongsmilie

Plant looks so much better than it did a week ago. LOVES the new lights so far. A little shock you can see in the plant but it's booming from it's new higher up location now. I'm guessing with the rate it's currently growing it'll get too heavy for the tiny stock unless it self beefs up sometime soon.
But the help we've received so far we greatly appreciate.

Thanks all.

It's kinda funny for me to read this.
My boyfriend and I are growing out first one also and are going on our 3rd month around the 1st tomorrow..
Our plants look similar but our has more leaves. Were also victims to the lightbulbs from the home, which we'll change soon. :)
Keep this updated!

Well I'm glad that my learning experience is helping some one, when i came home from work today and after Men's Canadian hockey team took the GOLD!!! one of my branches with the poorer looking leafs, like a long leaf with jus 2 other little leafs beside it has turnd on it's side any reason for this? I would think that its hot but cfl's are cool heat and it dosnt feel hot when i put my hand over my baby. But to be honest i want to prune it off and 1 other one thats canoeing and semi dryed looking, but its not yellow or anything jus dry and crinkly but only that one leaf looks like it. Just want to know if it really matters whether i prune these 2 or not and how i guess, or in more detail then what ive read anyways.

It looks like that leaf might be getting stronger light from the reflection than directly from the light. You could prune it if you want, or when the plant is done with it it will yellow up and die off.

so basically leave the one facing to the side and let it do its thing, ok but what about the one thats shriveling? its just one single leaf with no points to it, Idont know how to trim it properly tho, i know u cut it on a 45 deg angle but i dont understand where
