1St Successful Grow! CFL's/closet

ive got two plants under cfls. i started one on 12/12 then on the seventh day started the other one. I see no signs of sex yet with the one thats been in there for a week, but its got a stink to it. Im using lst and very limited space, the lst is working great, right now ive got about 4/5 stems reaching up towards the light. bring on them mini-colas

The plants DO NOT skip vegging, that is impossible. They veg until they feel like flowering. Which is not that old. Another thing., Would u rather smoke a 21 year old girl? Or, a 7 week old plant put in 12/12 from seed? That was a terrible analogy.

i cant get any pics up cuz i dont know how yet, but one has been in flower for four days now (this being the fourth) and the other one is exactly a week further into flowering. Neither have signs of sex yet, tho i took a tip from FDD, looked at my lower branches and i see masses startin to for around them, like to support extra weight. I read in one of his threads that this was an early sign of a female, but i cant be sure right now. theyre already kinda stinky, the one further into flowering being the stinkier of the two. Ill try to get some pics up but no promises haha. The lst is goin great still, the lowest node has now caught up with the main tip which sits about 5 inches above the coil. kind of a spiral-pyramid type lst, looks chill. Ill let ya know if i see any sex, im hoping this works so i can stick with the cfls and the short grow cycle, they call experiments for a reason i guess

Oh cool, thnx alot, I use ripway for my pics when i save them to the web but this imageshack seems alot better, i like how you can reformat the size of the pics, very nice feature considering how my cheap cam only goes up to 640X480 Res. the edit software will dam sure help me also, thnx alot, ill try those next time------------------420

do you think a lack of lighting will cause my plants not to bud at all, or just effect the yield of the plant overall...? I hope its the later, cuz this one plants been in the 12/12 cycle for about two weeks with no signs, no pistils atleast. waiting suuuucks

I'm happy with the results - so far.

22 days today, 7 27w (warm) 2700K 1850 lumens pr bulb 12,950 lumens in a 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 area. As a small experiment I put them into 12/12 about 5 days ago, ofcourse still no sign of sex. All the plants today range from 4-5 inches in height and 3-4 across, by putting them into 12/12 so soon im hoping to keep the finished product around 1ft due to my limited space, i dont want the garden so dense that the cfl's cant penetrate the lower limbs, Ill take a smaller harvest with a much better product. Also the nodes range from 4-7 per plant with a new complete node set fully developed every 3-4 days. And lucky me, 1 plant is already showing "alternating nodes". I should have the picks up in a day or 2.-----------------------------------------------------------------420

if everything worked properly, there should be pictures under this post, if not, i guess i look like a dumbass. if it worked, the first pic should be the overall setup, the second should be the plant thats early in flowering, and the last two should be of the plant latest in to flowering. yes i had to do some trimming of leaf tips because we had a shitload of kittens that beat the shit out of em, then we promptly donated the kittens, damn strays.

So how they doing now?

UPDATE @ 29 days, well now i have down to my best 3 plants, 1 if a deffinete female tossed 1 male aready, still waiting on the last two to sex, as of last week they have been fed twice a week with MG bloom and as of yesterday they will be getting a dose of "superthrive" with each watering, just a few attached pics but the check the gallery, more on the way asap! but here are 3 pics of the 1st ever female

lol thnx, im just hoping they pick up in height, 2 months from now i cant picture anything more than a 1/2 oz on a plant this size, i know they will get bigger, i just wish i knew how much, time will tell
