1ST TIME CLONING, HELP PLEASE

So I have all of the tools and equipment to clone.
1 humidity dome, rooting solution, scalpels, rockwool cubes, 3 healthy mother plants, and a heat pad. I don't want to fuck this up, so I need a little help regarding the storage of freshly cut clones. My biggest concern is the amount of light they need. Do I put the clone dome inside the same tent as my mother plants? I have 2 1000w LED lights in there and am worried that it would be too powerful for clones. Could I just keep them in a well lit room? And if so is there a light schedule I should follow? PLEASE HELP

yea clones need jack shit I like using a 2 foot t5 for my cloner only one bulb that's it
Thanks for the reply! Any help is needed, I'm sure I'm overthinking all of this, I just want to do this the right way. I'm not expecting 100% success rates, but I don't want to waste all of the materials and cuttings. Any tips would be amazing, and again I appreciate the reply!

I have no real experience with rock wool, I like my aero cloner everyone has their own methods, I just didn't like rockwool and I had a way better time in aero.

I'm literally about to start my first cuttings, just cleaned the dome and tray. Do you have any tips as to how damp the rockwool cubes should be? Can I over or under saturate them?
I recommend you don't even submerge them. They're too wet at that Point. I think using a spray bottle to wet them is much much more safe. Also, almost always the pre made hole is too large for the stem. So turn it so the holes on the side, and make your own with a really small drill bit by hand. You want that stem to be grippped by it. You could also use the spray bottle nozzle right up against your hole to wet just the inside of the cube. The moisture wil work it's way out to the edges over time. It's so easy to over do it so be very careful.
Use some cloning gel.
Also, cut your cutting LONG. Then once you cut your branch and get the leafs and branches off that you don't want, cut your branch down to size at a 45° angle and IMMEDIATELY get it submerged under water for a good 5-10 mins so it can suck up water and NOT air.

I'm in the same boat, except ive tried cloning a few times and failed. Finally decided to bite the bullet and buy a Clone King - excited to see how well it performs, seems idiot proof (Lord knows i need that!).

Good luck with the clones, post some pics, would love to see the progress!

I've seen so much information regarding how "wet" the clones should be. Do you mist them frequently or daily? I think a lot of the problems i've experienced are due to lack of proper water exposure to the roots.

Curious.

Setup looks badass, great job!
I spray them 2-3 times a day and open the top once a day for a few minutes. After a week I will leave top off if the are not drooping. I've cloned in peat pellets and had good success, just keep them damp

You're going to love it. I've been using one for seven years or so, and have rooted hundreds, if not more clones in it.

Fill with luke warm tap water. Plug in. Cut clones. Put in cloner. Come back in 11-14 days and plant rooted clones.
Suuuuuuuper EXCITED!!! thanks for the feedback, was a little leary to buy it, was a bit pricey sounds like it'll be well worth it!

Coco

Three days after cutting. They'll have roots forming within a week. Another benefit doing them in small nursery pots of coco is the ability to easily move them around and stick them wherever you have some space.

I understand that cloning is a excellent way to get the most out of your plants. It's something that I will definitely be doing in the future, but as a first time grower I want to learn how this wonderful and beautiful plant grows and what they like and dislike. I guess I prefer one step at a time. After I get a couple grows worth of knowledge I'll start cloning, until then one step at a time. Best of luck to ya..
