1st time grow curious about plant(s)

Well guys, this is my 1st time growing. When I bought the light kit, I started growing them with a 250W Hortilux super HPS for about 3 weeks. I switched to a 400 Watts MH. The large one shown is a month and about 4 days old. The main stem broke because I watered it and after an hour it drooped and then snapped 0.o. My question is does it look like a normal plant that will grow nice? the smaller ones are a week old and are bubbleberries. The large one is an unknown strain and the smaller one is my test girl for fertilizers and such. i am currently using a little less then a tablespoon of jacks Classic every 4 days and they are in Foxfarms ocean soil with a ph that stays around 6.9-7. Do they look healthy with the exception of the smaller one? Thanks for your help guy and or girls!

Thanks. I lost my job and was bored at home so I jumped right into growing. My problem now is its making me have OCD or that's what the wife tell me. About the size of them and the pot9s). When should they be fed? Ive been feeding them every 4 days with 1/2 Tbs of jacks Classic and watering when the soil is dry roughly 3 inches due to the size of the pots. My sisters BF grows in hydro so I ask him and hes clueless; then tries to give m hydro ferts. HAHA I know better then to use those. I will have a ton of questions so all the answers will pay off and I will continue to add pics as they develop.

The only thing concerning me now is about an hour or 2 before lights out, her leaves start to really reach for the light. i am rotating it around about twice a day as well. This has been happening every night now for about a week. What does that mean?

Looks good as far as the leaves reaching they do that how far from the light are they you shouldn't have to worry about the reaching as long as you keep turning them

Actually, they are supposed to be reaching for the light, or at least that's what I was taught, by a reputable grower. He explained that they are showing that they are satisfied, wanting nothing more than light, more light, and aren't struggling with deficiencies, etc.... Made sense to me. Mine always do that after a feeding, or a nice foliar feed, which backs up his claim. The plant in pics 3 and 5(first set) are the healthiest, but, it looks like they are all getting a little too much nutes, or suffering some kind of problem, at one point. I'd say that aside from feeding a little too much, they are doing good, although had a bit of a rough start. Not bad bro, not bad at all.:blsmoke:

yeah, the one in pic 2 and 4 should have died a long time ago, she suffered from serious fert deficiency so I did a full tablespoon to gallon of jack's ( I know, too much) just to get her to bounce back. When I say she should have died, she was almost pure yellow and wilted bad. I was doin half a tbsp of jacks but at the next feeding which will be in a week I'll scale it down to 1 teaspoon and see what happens. Thanks for the support guys! Cant wait to see the finished product or taste :P

I'm trying to figure out why you've had deficiencies so soon, using FF OF soil. Hmm....check these out, they are in FF OF soil, and haven't received any ferts, at all...

I'm thinking PH problems, or overwatering. Tough to say, for certain.

I didnt start them in FF, I started them in Organics choice garbage from HD. They got better when I transplanted them to the FF.

another quick question, I just watered them this morning with a very mild fert solution, after about 30 minutes I drained my resorvoir it is in, and the water is a golden brown color. is that natural or should I do a pure flush?

Here are the new pictures, I switch the light cycle to 12/12 and also switched to a Hortilux Super HPS for flowering; it does not want to stop growing taller! it is now 17 inches after a month and 4 days and its getting me nervous as I dont have the room for it to grow6 feet. The color looks bad on the picture due to the light but I can tell you the leaves are a nice slightly dark green! The plant is showing signs of flowering so thats why I switched the cycle. Small one is a Feminised Bubbleberry thats a week and a half old. 003.jpg004.jpg001.jpg002.jpg

AWESOME, well out of 4 I planted, 1 died, 1 is huge, and the other which was my test subject is scarred, but THEY ARE ALL FEMALES!! what a shocker, 2 are bagseed and the other is a Big Bud Fem. God Im excited lol. This site has been a huge help for me as well as I went out and bought Joge Cervantes medicinal marijuana book, and read through a ton of posts, hopefully I can harvest soon, it takes about 30 days from the start of female pistals showing or longer?

On a side note it took exactly 7 days from when I switched to HPS and 12/12 for them to show their sex.

Well, she keeps growing at the rate of about and inch, to 2 inches a day now. I switched to 15-30-15. All the hairs are present and she stands about 2 feet 2 inches. I started flowering a week ago and I hope to god it stops getting taller 0.o I only have about 2 1/2 feet left in my closet. My smaller one, the Big Bud fem is also flowering, but shes only a foot long so she Im not worried about! Pic 9 I tried to show the hairs but my cam sucks. Hopefully its gonna be 1 big bud but I have a feeling all those smaller branches are gonna flower too.
