My temporary setup before the plant gets big is a 10"x10"x18" box on end with aluminium matte side up on the inside. I have a 16w screw in cfl with a reflector on it. It's in a 5" terracotta pot with soil from my garden. It's been going a couple weeks at least. Forget how long exactly. I have it going 24h because I have not gotten a timer. Is this bad for the plant? Here are some pics. Any tips appreciated

I would do 18/6 for Veg and 12/12 for flowering to get the best results.

Also 16w CFL? You will need more of those like maybe three or four more.

24 wouldnt hurt on veg stage but i recommend 18 on 6 off for veg as well. u can get a timer at target or walgreens ;) places like that

Imo, it doesn't make that much difference one way or the other wheather u go 18/6 or 24/7. I personally go with 18/6 for veg. but 24/7 aint hurtin at all. Lights-16w isn't gonna cut it anymore, and ur gonna need a bigger pot soon as well. Get some Y-socket splitters(they're like $2) and some 23w or higher cfl's in 6500k. This is what ur goin for so u got an idea as far as lights-
