1st Timer - Need Help Deciding On Lights

OK, I have read until I can't read no-more and I'm still confused. Here is my room configuration. 3' wide X 2' deep X 7' tall, a small closet with no a/c vent or ventilation what-so-ever (as of right now). I know it will have to have ventilation and air circulation, just not to that point yet but can vent up into the attic when that time comes. I would like to stick with flourescant, wether it be tubes or bulbs, because of the heat issue. I am "intending" on growing in a DWC with about 2-4 plants max, 3 being the ideal grow for me.

I have been looking at T5 and T8 lights not knowing what the hell the difference between the two are. Given the room dimensions above, here is what I had intentions of doing.

1 ea. 6 lamp 2' T5 lamp at the top of the closet
1 ea. 4 lamp 4' T5 lamp on the right side closet
1 ea. 4 lamp 4' T5 lamp on the left side of the closet
(this would be 52,000 lumens)

Now........ reading on all the cfl bulbs and talking with Dr. Chronic, would it be better to go with alot of the squiggly cfl bulbs instead of the tube set-up I described above ?? The tube set-up I listed above is going to be pretty costly, I would much rather go with the compact cfl's IF they are going to be better, however, I am williing to spend the money on the tube set-up IF it is worth it.

Any opinions ?????

I will gladly accept or take any suggestions on a light set-up per the room dimensions I listed above. Thanks for any and all help.

Im on my first grow but i would think that CFL is the way to go, if anything their easier to work with (smaller, easily moved, etc)..if T-8 were good to grow with you'd see people growing only with them, not CFL, ya know? i know their ok to start the plants on...i started my seedlings under t-8 but moved them under CFL shortly after. But definately CFL, i veged with the 3500k but i've recently been reading its better to go with higher..im not really sure...read the tutorial Dr. chron set up...hope i helped, good luck

Thanks for the response Basement, I appreciate it. I have already read the Dr's thread on cfl's about 3 times and my specific question is not answered in his tutorial. I have even asked him personally in his own thread what his thoughts were about my light suggestion and I got no answer from him pertaining to my lights so I guess he just doesn't want to help me, hell, I dunno. Some people on this site are SO willing to help you and then some others just skip and ignore your questions when they are asked. Thanks again for the response.
