1W vs 3W vs 5W LED chips

I exclusively use 300 watt 3W chip LED panels for my growing because theyve always been recommended to me. I cant seem to find much info online about what the difference is. I think its the light penetration, but im not sure.

Anyone have any info on this?

the trend now is for 50 watt chips. did you miss the memo ?

Bonjour
Cobs (cxa/b and vero) are much more efficient than most of the 1/3w diodes!
And easier to build...solderless!
It is easy to pull gpw from those lights(in organic soil...so with hydro it is more...much more!)
There's a lot of grow journal here and Growmau5 vids on YouTube will provide you all the info you need!

With cxb 3590 the only 1/3w diodes you will need is 730nm for 10mn at lights off...to shortened the bloom!
And you need to choose some cree xp-e or osram...no epistar...never!
