I am building 2 rooms that are next to each other in the basement.8k lights included.I've been looking online for ventilation setups with no luck.I am thinking about using intake fans to bring air into the room, then ventilate lights and room thru the a small basement window for both rooms. Is 3 y splitters too many to connect all at the same time?I will not be using any co2.If anyone can chime in would be greatly appreciated it....

I'm interested in how youll set this one up too I'm going to be doing something similar soon I'm currently 4k and can not cool without 12000 btu a/c. But my ventilation setup is horrible I have a filter in 2 corners each pulling through a 6in fan pushing through 2 lights each into a Y and through the home ventilation. I don't use c02, don't vent outside or intake from outside. Based off my setup I can't see 3 Y working together unless you've got a ridiculous fan even then all the reducers would limit airflow. What size fan / ducting were you thinking of running ? Ac hoods?

I'm assuming your going to flip-flop rooms. Not sure why the need for all the splitters.

Depends on how you want to do it, I suppose, and how your going to scrub.

You could do a closed loop for the lights also, intake outside of room with a dust filter, to lights, the exhaust outside of room (or outside). Then do one large exhaust fan and passive intake.

I dunno, there's a lot of variables. How do you plan to dehumidify?

NEVER push air through your lights to cool them! It's twenty degrees cooler to PULL the air through them.

I was always under the impression it was filter -flange- fan - duct - hood

You're saying it should be

Filter - flange - duct - light - fan

That right?

001.jpgThis is what it would look like with 8 reflectors.I would like to have an intake fan in each room,I'd also like to have an intake for the reflectors pushing basement air thru. Now the tricky part is venting 8 reflectors ,and both rooms including the scrubbers thru the tiny basement window.I really don't want to run the scrubber thru the reflectors as i'll be pushing hot room temperature thru.

I also plan on using a dehumidifier for both rooms.Climate control panels will be used also. Now the solis max 88 uses 8" fans.So what do you guys suggest for fan sizes ,and ways to get this thing going the proper way.the dimensions are 10x20x7......

Yeah I recommend pulling air through reflectors as well.

And no intake fan, but exhaust fan......but I guess either way is doable.

Whats ambient temp inside of basement?

Whats height of room?

Are you going to use carbon filters?

Temps are in the mid 60s.The height is around 7 feet,i do plan on using carbon filters.I want to bring the cool basement air in,and exhaust room and reflector air outside of it.

Is it possible just to make it one big room?

If not your gonna have to fidget with everything, and its going to be more complex.

Off the top of my head you could do, 4 carbon filters, and 3 Y pipes, 2 fans, and 2 dampeners......

exhaust fans and dampners run on timer, intake fan runs on temp control.
