2 plants. 1 pot. Only 1 ready to harvest

I have 2 plants growing in an EarthBox. One is ready to harvest, the other has about a week more to go.

I am wondering if I put them both in 24 hours darkness before harvesting the one that's ready, and put the one that's not back outdoors after harvesting, if it will stress it too much. Or should I just harvest both after the darkness period?

um, harvest one... then harvest the other when its ready...

you could compromise and wait like 3 days then harvest them both
