2 tent setup with hydroton ebb and ez cloner bogfan

I havent seen anyone that said they had problems with the Homebox brand of tents. I hope mine keeps doing well. The Hydro store is a very long way away!

I know that if I had cut clones and put them in the EZ Cloner, they would need 3 weeks with no nutes. But I put seedlings in there just trying to get them to grow roots long enough that i could put them in a Hydroton netpot. I was hoping not to have to use rockwool or rapid rooters with my hydroton and i thought the EZ Cloner would be a quick , easy way to do that. I already have a ebbe and flow set up with hydroton waiting on the seedlings, I just dont want to put them in there until they are healthy.

The nutes seem to have helped for right now, still no burn at all. I am gonna watch them close for a day or so before flushing and deciding whether the nutes were ok or not. They came out of the paper towel on the 13th of December, so they are almost 6 weeks old technically. However , I know I stunted them when I LEFT THE WATER PUMP UNPLUGGED AGAIN after checking them. They have barely any roots at all now, just some very small white roots that refuse to grow.

I assume you are cutting clones. I am happy for your success. I dont want to sprout roots. I just want the roots I have to grow.

Ok, Ok, stop rubbing it in with the pretty clone pics, lol. I might have to change to some type of plug I just hate to not be able to get the EZ Cloner to work like I want it to. With the more absorbant media around the roots, do you think I will have to flood my ebb and flow less if I do decide to go to something like the root riot plugs?

LOL! I wish I had the money to buy a actual ez cloner! I used A normal plastic tray with A heating pad underneth! I would also use A humidity dome with it so u don't have to worry... That is A hell of A setup that u got going! Man u need to keep going at it! I read earlier in ur begining post that u were A outdoor grower so go with soil! I am gonna go for my first OD grow this year and trust me I am scared of soil.

With my set up I am running A SOG! The mothers are in soil wich I hate and am currentlly getting new ones going in DWC buckets as I type. My buddy start's in soil and then when he is supposed to change pot's he rinse's away the soil and then puts them in the aero tub! It works great for him, and that may work for you!

I would throw those into the riot plug's wait until u see the roots poping out the sides! After that I would use the hydrotron pellts with 6" pot's! Just figure out what u want to do with it like A SOG, SCROG?

I thought they all basically came from the same chinese mfg and just got branded differently.

I have the new silver homebox version. Big improvement over my last tent in many ways--> Way more reflective+sturdier+tons of options for layout+same price = better deal

To be honest I'm not sure if the old tent caused problems for my plants or not but I'm glad I had the opportunity to take mine back and upgrade it to the next generation of tents:-P

I'm off to read on building a power cloner.

The guy at the Hydro Store said the Homeboxes were the only ones at that time that were made of PE instead of PVC. I dont really know, he could be full of shit but I havent seen any yellowing of the sides yet.

I am a little bit depressed right now. I left the %^*&^$#% pump off on the aerocloner for about 8 10 hours. dried all the roots out. Growing herb should be less stressful.

Bog don't get ur self down we all get high and forget! The timer is the best bet so u don't do it anymore. Other than that how is it going? I just did my trimming from last week, and it was nice getting A ball of finger hash! So as I type one finger is rolling it into A ball and the other typing..... And bog hopefully the weather will clear and u can go outdoors. I may need some advice from u on the outdoors if you don't mind when it come time?

Yea, the EZ CLoner has beaten me so far because, I decided to go with the good 1 min on 4 min off timer. So the first few times, while i was checking the ph, temp or ppm the timer would kick on and spray the crap out of me. Now anyone who gets sprayed a few times is eventually gonna unplug the thing because they have good clothes on or just because they dont wanna get sprayed. Now Stoner Law states that there is no way you are gonna remember to plug this thing in every time. Hence I have burned about 4 sets of roots. Looks like a couple of the seedlings might actually make it, and I still have 4 plants that are about 4 weeks into flowering. I will try to get some pics up soon.

You are correct bog I do feel like A chemist at times but it does payoff! I am using 2 homemade cloners and have my timer on A surge protector so I just have to flip the switch and eveything is there. We all make mistakes and eventually after skipping A few cycles of not getting bud u learn fast!

I take my clones out of the clone very carfully, and get my pots all ready and just place the clones down into the pots and fill in around them. They do stand up great! I was nervouse about the whole thing at first.
