20-4 better than 24 hours?

my grow box is typically like 92 degrees. do you think its better to do 20 hours of light for veg and give it a break for 4 hours, or would the time in the dark not compensate for the 4 hours of light it would be missing out?

Ouch 92 degrees? What kinda lights are you using? Four hours of darkness ain't going to do much. Your first priority should be to get the temp down a bit by modifying lighting or increasing ventilation.

your plants will be stressed if your running at 92 damb thats hot get some vents sorted mate pc fans will be sufficent. i i have tried all light cycles 18,20,22,24 and i have always had the best results with 18 hours cheers

i liked 18/6 for 2 reasons. elec bill saving ;) and the plants will want abit of a break, so keep them abit of darkness. it will also help lower ur temps if ur lighting is off for abit.

i would have some darkness even if it is only 4 hours because to me the plant can use the energy it has stored whilst the lights are on to use uniterupted at night .. but thats what i thought :)
