20 lbs vs 50 lbs CO2 tank

How hard is it to transport a 50 lbs tank?

I like the smaller tanks, but don't want to deal with getting it filled all the time. The 50 lbs tank seems like it will be a hassle transporting.

What do people use for tank size?

I use the 20# model and with my bad back its not too bad to lug around but it def isn't light. I would think a full 50# tank would be pretty hard for one person to move, unless you employ a hand truck or something similar, then it would be a piece of cake. And then there is the size difference, do you have appropriate transportation for a big tank? If you can do it easily, go with a 50# tank. If not, make your life easier and get (2) 20# tanks and rotate them.

Good luck and keep it green.

I have a 50# and 20# tanks that I rotate. The 50# is heavy, just can be done with one person. I fold the back seat of suv down and back right up to front door for refill. I can normally get the guy at the hydro shop to help me load it. a dolly is key!!

50's are a bitch. They do make nice carts for them but 2-20s are nice because you can always have one full or being filled. If you're legal you could have them delivered but security is always an issue.

I had my co2 gen crap out on Friday, couldnt get a bottled filled until Tuesday. threw some dry ice in there until I could get a refill and get my burner fixed.
I hate running out of bottled co2. Always happens on a Friday.
