whats trully fucked up is that every day we hear the same damn woes of "oh noes, oil is going up again" it goes up 50 cents, we cry but goddamit we pay because we need to get from point a to point b. a few weeks later the price is slashed by 10-25 cents, everyone is happy because its "cheaper" now when in reality its still 25-40 cents more expensive than the first jump. and the beauty is that it only goes down once before it goes back up again.

i just do not understand why we do not use plant oil that can reduce co2 when its in the process of being grown and will emit substantially less than crude when it is and has been in our capabilities since the 1960's or earlier.

kinda off topic but what if oil is our planets blood? like the human circulatory system, what if it regulates underground temperatures and tapping it is essentially like bleeding out a human?

Dude think about this ratio,
I live in Australia ok,

1x Australian Dollar = .91usd
Gallons converted to litres = 3.785 Litres to a Gallon
Fuel Price = $3.16 Gallon divided by 3.785 = 0.83 US cents per litre = 0.87 cents per litre in Australia.
I yesterday put fuel in my car at $1.34 Australian = $1.22 usd so on a comparison we are paying $4.61 usd per gallon.

I ask where are our spoils from this War on Oil.

what I've noticed is the news reporting for months that the reason for oil prices going up is the threat of terrorist actions (which makes me think "bullshit").....prices goin up because something might happen...Fucken BS.....Now The news is reporting increase is because of the weakening dollar....They're just gonna keep comin up with BS excuses for why they're rapin us!!!

I often think of it as Human conditioning, Remember only 3 years or so ago and petrol was say 85 - 90 cents a litre (In Australia), then it jumps to $1 per litre every one was thinking the world was about to end, then it does its up & down cycle to where it is now, Its just conditioning the human brain to accept it and realise that its not controllable, we should have invaded Saudi Arabia instead, Camel Jockey mother fuckers if there are Saudi Arabians on this site "I fucked your Mother" and it was like throwing a sausage down wall street.

I was living in California in 2003. The year Governor Grey Davis was fired....He was kicked out of office for signing a bill that would double the cost to Register your vehicle which is already ridiculously high...Example: my parents just bought a new Scion and it cost them $495 to register it, Every year!!!! Under the bill that Governor Davis signed, It would have cost $970 per year....For a fucken car!!!!.....The point is this, The American people do have a limit and they will fire they're Elected officials.....You watch!!! You can BS us all you want and we'll stand for it as long as it doesn't really affect our daily lives....The day of reckoning is soon upon us!!!!

We just need to get the hell off oil

We know how, we can do it

But the oil companies won't let it happen, they are gonna milk it even if it ruins us.

There are no "alternative" sources of energy which can come even close to replacing oil, not yet. Even when one becomes feasible, which seems a ways off at best, it is going to take a hundred years, or more, to transition to this "new" form of energy. Until then, quit complaining. Oil is a wonderful, renewable, energy source. "Gods gift", if you will. Investing in "clean" technologies for oil, and arguing for it, would be a better waste of breath.

The same people that have heavy investments in oil futures are the same ones making sure stuff like this gets mentioned, it puts the idea out there that it is " expected " , or "reasonable " for oil to jump that high. Which in turn allows oil producers to raise the price up to that level since it is already being marked as a reasonable possibility.

The reason oil, food, gold, etc. etc. etc., are increasing in price is because of the devaluation of the US dollar. Commodity inflation, it's called. When you study up, feel free to attack. Until then, spew whatever you like, and believe it too, but don't think you've made any points. I speak the truth, and have no interest in the price of oil, other than driving and living a comfortable life in general, something many fail to appreciate while wrapping themselves in the warm blanket that is oil.

PS- think of idiotic ideas like using food for fuel, "bailing" out mortgages (a binding contract?), not exploring nationally for oil, not building refineries, not building nuclear plants, handing out "rebate" checks, etc etc etc. if you actually cared about the reasons oils price is increasing.
