Ok, for some of you that know me, I have been talking about trying vertical for a while now, and finally have some time to put it together. (I have my new mother and veg racks together, and have a few weeks till I throw a first run into the new set up, so thought I should get on it.

That's the room I have to use. Very small at 6X12. I am running 100 plants in flower, 50 in veg, and have 5 good mothers under the HPS.

I have the first wall of the vert set up.. BUT hate where I have to hang my scrubber. It vents out the window you can see the blind on the wall in the first pic.

I plan on doing top feed irrigation.

My veg plants are doing ok in the set up as I have them, but it's not automated yet, and it has taken it's toll on the growth and overall health of this run..but they are still looking ok and once I have the waterlines run, it will be all good. There are 3 racks - can do 18 plants on each level.View attachment 1885933

Anyway..
any vertical guys want to throw in their 2 cents while I can still move stuff around?

additional info:

I have the trays angled towards the center of the room and obviously slanted for drainage. The room is going to be sealed. I have plastic on the floor (vapour barrier doubled up) and all seams are tuck taped. The plan is to add co2 after a few harvests to build back up the bank roll.

I had to buy all new pots, and quadruple the hydrotron.... fucking adds up quick.
The blue stuff you see in the trays is a waterproofing rubber that paints on. $180 for the 5 gallon pail sitting there.
I have 4 racks per wall.
looking at going 24 plants per wall.
I was using 2000 watts and getting about a lb every 3 weeks in a traditional grow set up so I thankfully don't have to come up with another grand to buy lights.

I am putting veg plants into flower after a 5 week veg or at about 9 inches high.
Am running my own genetics this round, but have some RP Kandy Kush seeds waiting for their turn after Christmas.

Yeild?
I don't know what to expect as far as yeilds go here, but I am going to go out on a limb here and be fairly conservative with my estimates. I was getting 2-3 ounces per plant without doing anything out of the ordinary...
I figure if I only get 1 ounce per plant (which a monkey could get with no effort using 1000 watters) I'm looking at minimum harvests of 3lbs every 5 weeks. (10 weeks of flower for the Kandy Kush is likely reasonable).

If that's the way it works out.. :)

As long as I still pull 1.5 lbs - I'm even with what I was getting before and will be happy too.

OK.. that was a nice break from the construction.. better get back at it for now.
Look forward to any input you guys might have.
