Wellcome to my 2009 budget SWISS CHEESE grow.

STRAIN INFO
swiss Cheese is a hybrid of Nirvana’s former Swiss Miss and a curious Skunk 1 phenotype that was discovered in England and smuggled to Amsterdam in 2007. The one of a kind clone from England needed a father so we chose our former Swiss Miss that was originally bred in the Swiss Alps. A mix of a very early Swiss skunk and a robust strain from Nepal, Swiss Miss only adds to that “old school” flavor that makes Swiss Cheese so unique. Swiss Cheese is mold resistant and beginner friendly

THE BEGINNING
As you can tell from the name this is a budget grow I dont have a lot of money
or the space to grow in so iv settled on growing in my 5 foot wide wordrobe.
I have spent £200 on 2 400w maxiebright hps light complete 10 large square pots and 1 drip tray
2 light hangers one bag of coco mixed with clay pebles 1 bottle of B CUZZ A and 1 bottle of B CUZZ B which was chucked in for free from http://www.persygrowbox.co.uk/ and £17 pound on 10 reguler swiss cheese
DAY 1
I started my grow by souking my seeds in a cup of PH tested water (5.8PH) till all ten seeds had sank to the bottom i then placed the seeds between two pieces of toilet paper in a tupperware box and placed it on top of my amp and left them for 24 hour
DAY 2
All ten seeds had popped little white talls sticking out so i planted them into small pots filled with coco and left them under a 125w enviro light for 24 hour.
DAY3
9 of the 10 seeds had broken through to the Surface one had not so i put that back on top of the amp for another 24 hours hopefully that will be ready tomorrow to go under the light with the others.

Hey man, nice garden!
I'm growing 3 feminised swiss cheese plants outdoors. They arent growing as quickly as yours, but they are def. healthy looking. They're into their third week of growing and they have their 4th set of leaves with five points on them. They're only about 4 inches tall right now and I think they're gonna enter their first week of vegetation since I've noticed quick growing habits now in the past two days or so. I'm excited about my grow and can't wait to taste the cheese bud that everyone talks about. There's none of this type of quality herb around here for hundreds of miles. I'm the only one!!!
Keep me posted on your grow!
Cheers

The swiss cheese strain is suggested for outdoor growing. It's finiky under indoor lights too. The plants that I have are growing nicely...but I invested in a trusted seed company...they're also feminized seeds, so I don't need to worry about having any males. Swiss Cheese is a beginner friendly growing plant.

Hello,
I am new to this forum. I am in the process of finishing up a grow of Northern Lights + Haze. Started with 10 very nice plants, but due to my budgetary constraints; I opted to not cough up the extra $$ for feminized seeds. What a mistake, I now have only two very nice looking ladies on their 18th day of flower. (See pics) These beans came from Nirvana, very good company to deal with; I have had (so far) three very nice stealthy shipments arrive with no issues. Anyway, my next grow will be two different strains; Top 44 (or Short Rider) and the Swiss Cheese. I picked these beans up from my friends at Nirvana, this time these babies are femies. Should have a much better yield with this grow.

MY SET UP;
Hydro
(Veg Room)
4x4x6
1 - 4 bulb T5 grow light
Drip feed system (gravity drain)
Vented in and out
Nutes: Floro Series 0-4-8 ml/per gal of distilled H20 (I do not use any FloroGrow, because the FloroMicro provides enough nitro. and is well balanced. No need for Epson salt to correct mag. deficiency. Also with this formula there is no need to flush during veg. I only flush once a grow with clearx. And I do this when my ladies go to 12/12

(Flower room)
Room is 5x5x8 completely enclosed
1 400w HPS and two 4ft fluorescents over the top
Ebb n Flo systems for the nutes
Vented in and out
Portable AC for temp control
C02 tank to fatten up them ladies
Nute mix; Floro series 0-8-16 = ml/per gal of distilled H20 this is the Lucas Formula, Thanks Lucas you Da man.

Enough, my concern with the indoor grow with the Swiss is the fact that this could be considered an outdoor strain. I will be tuned in on your progress of this grow; any tips will be greatly needed. I will start a Journal when I start my grow.

Good luck, with your grow

Day 14 12/12
ok here is a couple of pictures not the best quality but will av todo for now
Hey dogz...how's the Cheese bud doin?
I've only got one left in my garden. 2 of the 3 died. and both Northern Lights turned out to be males. So all I've got is one lonely Cheese girl sittin pretty in the center of my garden. She's only about a foot tall, but dense as fuck. She's gonna get 100% of my undivided attention from now on. Hopefully with all my TLC, she'll repay me kindly.
Need some updated pics brah!

ok the plants have been flowering for just over 8 weeks iv cut all of them down except one which i think may have another week togo as for the smell the buds look reel nice but only have a mild smell and it dont smell like cheese in my opinion if u want to grow a plant that smells and tast like uk cheese dont grow swiss cheese your better off paying that bit extra and buying some big budda cheese
