The last four years in which congress was democrat controlled, the average annual deficit was/is $1.1 trillion. The preceding 12 years that congress was republican controlled, the average annual deficit was just over $100 billion. Now THAT says it all!

Come on IS, you've been showing improvement on the boards, why would you bring this with you? That's absurd.

I want to point something out..

The last four years, OK so you're referring to the period from 06-10, Bush was president for two years, and president the proceeding 6 years, with a Rep. majority from 01-07 in both the House and Senate.

107th 2001-2003 S: D-50 R-50 H: D-212 R-221
108th 2003-2005 S: D-48 R-51 H: D-205 R-229
109th 2005-2007 S: D-44 R-55 H: D-202 R-231

So when Bush had a Republican House and Senate, and the debt was still increasing each year, you somehow attribute the increase to the Dems?

You MUST UNDERSTAND it's not a partisan issue. Both parties fuck up. Will you agree with this and knock off the partisan bs, like our special friend Rick does nonstop? CrackerJax touches on that a ton too, and Choda and Vi as well. That club is extremely unable to look outside the conservative box to any other ideologies that differ. Even I admit I'm conservative in a lot of ways, and agree with a lot of conservative viewpoints, but if you ever asked any of them, I guarantee they'd label me one of the most progressive liberals on the forums... Retarded I know...

But it's beneficial for you and for me for you to understand that the game they play goes on on both sides, and it's against us, the citizens, so we should all be working together to point this shit out, whether it be blue shit or red shit, it all smells the same, and both of us suffer if either of us steps in it because we share a room in the same house.

A few billion here, a few trillion there...after awhile it does seem to add up eh? Amidst all the finger pointing there is ample blame for both parties to get an ass kicking. Spending other people's money knows no party boundaries.

Only Congress can spend money, the president does not get any power over the nations purse strings. When the deficit was increasing by 100 billion a year it was repub controlled, when it went to dem control the deficit spending went 10 fold of what it was (1 trillion a year). I think thats what illegal is trying to refer to.
