2012 Max Yield Indoor Gardening Expo in Novi June 2-3

I was a freebie whore :D I did talk to many vendors, but only had 2 hours to take in the whole show. I was a little disappointed that some started packing up their booths long before the 5pm end time, but that's when they just start giving you everything so they don't have to pack it.

I took the time to speak to alot of vendors and learned alot of things I probably would have never learned. Most vendors were very polite and were more than willing to hand over a sample. The only one I was really surprised at how I was treated was Xnutrients, Supposed to be a small family oriented business, they could have cared less that I was standing there trying to get some information and blew me off both times I tried to speak to someone. Their products have done me well and I speak nothing but good of their products but I was rather disappointed in the way I was ignored.

Here is my haul from the expo. I think that's everything in the picture, I may have forgot a thing or two. The boxes and bags in front are filled with solubles and small bottles of extracts and whatnots.
There is a basement couch under there somewhere. haha

I did the same and I have to agree, everyone was great. As for the guy from XNutes, you have to remember he is a busy fella. I felt the same way as you for a minute until I really thought about it and realized, he was with another person already, before I approached his booth. All he was doing is giving that person his undivided attention. You can't take it personal. I just walked away and came back later and he was alone. From the small 3 minute conversation we had, he was awesome and I watched him ignore 4 other people so he could give me his attention. Don't take it personal ;)

Damn! I am so envious of you man! I see about three or four items I tried to get, but showed up a tiny bit too late. I think I walked in the doors around 15 minutes after noon and all of the backpacks were gone. Those are seriously, some high quality backpacks man. I see you were able to get some samples from the MightyWash dudes as well as a pack from Botanicare. You got a buncha stuff I wanted! Nice Haul! My photos are incoming.

Thats the majority of my treasures. I only photographed the nutrients and supplements I was given. Everything but the top shelf, the xnute samples, the rockwool, and the bucket of stuff, were free samples from the expo. I've realized, these photos just don't do enough justice. I left out alot of stuff. In hindsight, I wish I'd have taken a photo of EVERYTHING upon arrival home. I also got about a dozen inkpens and lighters, some pots, soil, 5 T-Shirts, 2 propagation trays, and a ton of brochures and magazines.

Anybody ever use this "The Other Tomato" stuff in the last/3rd picture? Sounds like it's specifically formulated for cannabis seeing how it's called "The Other Tomato". We all know what that means. I was given 3 complete nutrient sets by the guy and he meant to give them to me. I didn't even have to visit a 2nd or 3rd time lol

I tried to take photos of the rest of my loot and something is wrong with my camera. It's snapping photos but it freezes instead of saving. I won a 1800$ LED and the chick I brought with me won a Hydrofarm Hothouse from the SGS wheel of fortune game :) I got pretty excited when I looked up the LED and found out it sells for so much. Then, I read some journals where they were used. Supposedly, the model I have is the improved version and it is supposed to work great. I can't be bothered with hooking up another reservoir and pump just for cooling the lights.

I didn't see the dude with the shopping cart in there, damn! Nice.

As a beginner grower, I benefited from this so much. I highly recommend it to anyone. I have also gone to grow seminars out west. Do those ever happen in MI?

It was a total of 3 trips to the car for me and my girl, the trunk and back seat of my 300 was stacked!

It musta been YOU taking all his undivided attention! Sucka! haha bongsmilie

I felt I waited my fair share to talk to someone, and made two trips to the booth to speak with someone. The second time the people cleared from the booth and yet the xnutes guy still looked right past me even tho I was the only person at the booth at the time. I got that from none of the other huge businesses, they were quite a bit busier than Xnutes and still took the time to answer some of my questions.
Nothing personal, just my experience. :bigjoint:

I was about 16th in line, and had my eyes on the prize! haha
You had to be quick with some places, we scored 2 of the 3 backpacks that were available from EYE Hortilux. They are OGIO brand.
Mighty wash was the second place I stopped, excellent group of guys to deal with.
There are boxes piled deep in the stack, ionics, GH, and a few others.

I picked up a sample of TOT from my grow shop a few weeks ago, just started using the micro stuff a few days ago. My plants seem to be liking it so far. It's kinda stinky so don't spill it on your clothes.
