we will have a coleman stove & a campfire & a pig roaster going.....any of those should work for warming food...

Will be there early to help and then fish. if im lucky ill catch a striper or two for the grill. or trout? whats in the water bbq vets?

I seen 1 guy catch a nice catfish at night a few years back....

Maybe ill camp out friday with one of my dogs so i dont have to drive over so early. if i go friday night i should have something before morning.

I don't think the gate opens until 7:00am. but I will check Friday.
I will make breakfast for those that show up early....biscuits & gravy & hashbrowns & orange juice.

Not to late....
They have a gate at the entrance that they close at 9pm. If your coming later then that maybe give them a call to make arrangements for a later gate closing. One of the gals who lives there works at the local bar, she would close the gate when she came home @ 3am when we asked.

I'm 7 hours to gold river area hopefully my gps will find the place way before 9. i can buy some Drinks to share,it seems Nuggs has the wood covered.

ok 7am it is. there's some huge catfish's in the lake. My high school buddy and I got drunk one friday night and Mark caught a 7 pound cat near the dam on the south shore.

The rain in the forecast & other factors make it necessary to reschedule the rosin pressing demo for the next BBQ. We/I will have my hands full just roasting this pig on sat. I will bring lots of rosin & maybe a hair straightener....see you Sat

If i can find a sitter ill camp out. otherwise ill be there saturday at 645; with extra bait if anyone wants to bait fish for stripers/cats. ill have some lures too if you wanna toss lures.

Can't wait to see everyone Saturday! I will only get to stay for a few hours and no family this trip. I have obligations at Emerald Cup and that will not be enjoyable for Dede and the kids to just be waiting around the whole trip. Cool part is I will be meeting most all the big breeders like Duke Diamond , Mel, and smaller guys like calicodankster, and elmexicano. My new bosses will be at the cup selling there oil and not to much longer before the rec growing gets rocking

I'll be leaving the kids home too. The spring event is more kid friendly anyway.
