sweeteyez you need to ajust your ph down 5.5 the much better for hydro. and what kind of water are you using? and every once in awhile pour some strait water over the medium to flust it every ounce in awhile when you start feeding. and you might think about a light root stimulator solution for about a week techneflouras root 66 works good for me.

there are directions in the faq for systems very similar. its a 300 gallon water pump(try a rio 1100 or the via aqua equivilant should be pretty inexpensive) with a small sprinkler head attached, in a rubbermaid container, with 6 3.5 inch holes drilled in it with net pots in them

run it 15 on to 45 off so the roots don't rot

but ya just look at those basic instructions for the aero builds and shit and you can custom taylor it however you want.

but dont get sterelite go rubbermaid roughneck, everything else leaks like a bitch

hey everyone things are going pretty well i did lower my PH to 5.5 and the leafs seem to have stoped yellowing.

they are still growing really nicely and i may be needing a new setup for the soil that i started.

about the air pump though. i keep it on at all times should i turn it off once in awhile? i have the lights and fan on 18/6 for veg.

i started the nutes and i am feeding 2 TBS every three days the other two days i just fill as needed and watch the PH.

to be honest with you . . . 6 weeks and they looking like that means there are some problems. . . if u using rockwool id suggest lifting it higher up to the top of the basket and then making a cover so no light can get to it its difficult to explain but on the DVD see more buds they have these awesome reflector covers they made so the tree can stick out but it stops the light hitting the grow medium another thing is u need to have a some transparent plastic cups over the young ones to keep the humidity up in the early growth faze or a plastic dome covering the entire box will help maybe u will be lucky and avoid all the mistakes i made with my DWC - nasty things can happen when ur novice and id done it all DIY from scratch so u might be lucky if its a kit.

hope they do well !!!

are you using a ppm meter sweet or are you just adding your nutrients it is alot easier to evaluate the amount of nutrients in your water when you've got one. just a thought

if its a bubbler and only has an air pump(no water pump or spray heads)
then yes keep it on all the time.

if it is an aeroponic system with sprayers and a water pump and an air pump, you keep the air pump on always and have the sprayers going for 10 to 15 min per hour.

another thing is u need to have a some transparent plastic cups over the young ones to keep the humidity up in the early growth faze or a plastic dome covering the entire box will help
if yo just keep a spraybottle with some distilled water and spray them with it lightly once or twice a day also works wonders. and doesn't reduce the amount of light from the cfl as much as cups or cheap domes can

i think considering all they have been through they do not look horrible, they are a little sick but well within the point of safe return. they had a hard few weeks in the beginning and i think that would explain the stunted growth as well. just keep it up, and keep asking questions and your grow should come out fine.

dont worry about what every body else says your fixing the problems for the issues youve had the recovering just fine. get cups that dont let in light and for something to cover your medium foam saucers cut with a slit and a hole in the middle will be a cheap fix. oh finally got some pics of mine check them out looking pretty good.

Ok so its been about two weeks since i last posted and the girls are looking great!

I ended up replanting the soil that i had going it to bigger pots and brought a few new lights to put them in the closet i had wanted to use at first but the res ended up being to big. So now i have two grow areas hydro and soil.

the plants that i have in the hydro are doing ok i guess but the ones in soil are doing much better then i thought they would.

I had a few problems with the hydro and since i have been un able to get my ppm meter it has been hard to work with them. the purp that i have going in the hydro is still doing very well though and i am very temped to clone it and put it in soil.

BTW i don't know what is wrong with the soil plant that has almost golden edges on it. none of the others have it and it has been like that for a long time at first u couldn't see the yellow/golden color but u could almost see clear res on the leaf end anyone ever had this before?

hay sweet what nute schedule are on and whats the ph. and screw the pm meter get distilled water 78c a gallon where im at and get technaflora starter kit for soil or hrdro and it will mix out to a perfect 6.8 for the soil and get ph test and up and down kit. feed the soil first and them down ph the water for the hrdro. and for increasing the ppm higher u just start the nutes a quarter and then half, so on and so forth. it will work fine. buddys doing just what i descrided any things are nice and happy. soil grow looks real good. check me out new pics

Last night i was reading a book and found out that i only needed tohave the water in my res about 1/3 filled with the amount of roots that i have now. I flushed the res and filled it only 1/3 and put the nutes inthere and things are looking alot better from what i've been reading (jorge's grow bible) i think i was kind of drowneding the plants with to much water so they were unable to get all the nutes they needed.
I also saw that i have more then one diffencey going on so i have upped the nutes little more and taken out the water as i had the whole thing filled i hope this makes them better.
