250 Watt Light vented into bedroom. Regular room temps/ AC set at 70. Will this work?

Hi. I've had a lot of trouble lately moving to my new place. After trying so many different things and wasting so much money on just experience, I think I've found about the only solution I can do for a worthwhile grow.

Keep this in mind. I do not wish to vent outside of my place. I want to vent straight into my bedroom which typically runs at 70 from central air and heat. I'm using a 36x36x68 Grow Tent

I want to use a 250W HPS light with an Electronic Ballast. So I have the setup in mind as follows ---

250W Light with 6 inch Cooltube -->ducting---> inline fan -->Carbon filter (thinking of something like a 4 inch inline fan from the hydro shop @ 175 CFM).

During the summer I have a vent from the airconditioner i'm venting straight to the tent (so all of my cool air goes straight into there at first. Temps are usually around 70 but min/max on meter is 55/75). Since I wont be able to use the air conditioner during the winter, i'll just crack the window open for some cold temps (and if I have to, i'll buy another inline fan to suck that cold, outside air into the tent during winter).

I prefer temps around 80 in my bedroom for living conditions. I would like someone else to take a look at this setup before I go out and buy the lights. Of course the main thing I want to find out is will a powerful central air easily cool down this 250w light?

Remember, there is a steady stream of 70 degree air conditioned air blowing into my growtent. I'll be leaving one end of the cooltube open to suck that cool growroom air into the light and then out into my bedroom.

Sound ok?

Your a/c vent isn't blowing at 70f, that's where your thermostat is set.... it's a great idea and will cool your tent significantly, but it will only last as long as you're using your a/c. Once you keep your living space at 80f (damn.... 72f max for me) that will change. I'd expect at least 85f growroom temps with 80f intake temp, under the best conditions. :leaf:

Your right about that AC temp. At night sometimes my plants get to around 55. Its set to 70 but thankfully I am on the third floor and the AC runs constantly. As soon as we are not using the AC (which will stay at 70) I will be cracking a window. It will be winter so 30-70 degrees here.

And yea I like it hot lol.. 80 is cool for me. Temps are usually around 110 at the moment. We had a 'cooler' front come in, 95 degrees. Felt to me like it was 75 outside :).

What I was saying is I'd like to keep my room atleast 80 with the light being vented into my room. In fact its around 70 in here and I'm wanting it warmer. Maybe the light can help as a small heater, but I don't want my room temps to be going over 80 is what I was meaning to say.
