This is my first time using cob lighting, which I feel shits on my previous cfl lights. It's a work in progress. I have 4 CXM22 3500k 90 cri Cobs driven by a 240h 54B meanwell driver on a frame I constructed. Ideal holders/adapters, Angelina reflectors, 120mm sinks, 100k pot, wired in parallel using ideal holders. I need to figure out the intake/exhaust carbon filter situation. Have some flat white paint to throw in there as well. I'll be using this for my future grows, as well as my current GG4 clone.

Nice, I like it. How hot do the heat sinks get, can you hold your hand on them after they been running for a while?
Thanks bro, yeah I can hold my hand on them. they get about 110 f, and that's after letting running for about an hour; that's read with an infrared thermo.

rofl. sure it does. been doing it since forever
We'll have to agree to disagree. If they worked dont you think everyone would be using them? They have almost zero static pressure and will NOT be effective paired with a carbon filter.

I would get http://a.co/fNgMK4r and http://a.co/6eeudDv Ive been using that combo for around a year in my small tent and its been perfect.

Believe me, I've almost ordered a legit inline so many times from Amazon but then I chicken out because of the space limitations. But, but I definitely want something that's going to dump air.

Yeah, I was definitely planning on doing passive intake. How many cfm should the booster be?
your space (31"×15"x40") is about 10 cubic feet. any fan loses cfm when pulling through a carbon filter. so, a 4" booster fan pulls 100cfm max. Assuming 50-70% cfm loss from pulling through carbon filter, would leave you with 30-50cfm. That would mean your tent changes air 3/5 times per minute. Plenty of airflow.

you can get whichever inline fan you want. the booster fan will just save you considerable space

You could grab this, https://jet.com/product/Costway-4-Inch-Inline-Fan-Hydroponics-Exhaust-Fan-Duct-Cooling-Fan-Strong-CFM/b406965703bd4a2dbcc82e68ef578014 You get 15% off your first 3 orders too so that brings down the cost a bit. I stand by the carbon filter recommendation though.

Thanks, space is precious to me right now! As long as it can keep the temp in check and pull through a filter I'll try it.

you'll be fine, assuming the temp outside the tent is good. my tent is 27 cubic feet, using a 6" booster fan (240cfm) and carbon filter. Temps inside tent is 2.5-4 degrees above room temp. I'm running 300w of cob lighting

Good info, I keep the ac blasting in my house, temps stay 70-72. I was debating getting this TerraBloom 6 Inch Duct Fan “LowNoise Series”, 188 CFM, 26W, Extra Quiet Mixed Flow Booster Fan For Intake and Exhaust https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M2XG0E1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_hEBpzb1J1WEH6
