26w cfl, stealth, soil grow

Thanks for the advice. I do plan to add more CFL's. So far, the plants seem to like the light, but maybe they'll grow faster with more light. My plans for my small veg area should give me up to 7800 lumens. My flower area will be longer/taller with CFL's to at least 15,000 lumens.

Hey doc, have you checked the forums about the seeding? Humboldt (user here) posted a great journal on his first cfl grow. He seeded a bunch of bubblegum in Yogurt containers under a plastic dome. So far, I've been treating my clones with straight water and organic starter soil. I plan to start introducing nutes slowly next week. Pics attached.

nice and no ill check it out but i need to know whats the minium hight for a pot 2"? i need t get the best of my hight and use short wider pots which i will probly use tuppaware

hmm i just got the idea of milk carton card board bottoms cut like 2 or one 1/2 ich high. that miracle soil should not hurt the seeds and should last about a month of food for them, its a fine choice seeds just like soft moist soil .

i think ill stick with the tuppaware idea i dont have plastic milk cartons and i have tons and tons of tuppaware but i have the soil or at least some now (marical gro .10-.5-.5 organic choice) and ill up date when i get seeds cuz the guy was sick today buit i should get them monday if i cant this weekend

ok this realllly sucks! i was installing my bulbs and one of them fell and broke:( so now i only have 2 27w 2700k 1750 lumen each so a total of 3500 lumens but i have a few 13w 2700k 800 lumen each cfls also so i am thinking should i install them too? it would give me a total of 5000 lumens will this be good enough to go 12/12 from seed and sex 5-10 short plants? and flower/bud 3-4 of them? depending on the amount of males would that work i have the marical gro now and seeds i am getting them on monday but not the germed ones just plain old seeds will this work? a total of 5000 lumens in my little small grow cab for 2-4 short lstd plants?

haha lol i said card board millk cartons!!!! not plastic. that sucks i droped my 105 watter right on top of one of my plants and bent the plant side wayes. luckily the bulb did not brake and it landed in side the pot. i wana see more picktures, do u have ventilation

yeah it might work. 5000 lumins is like the minium you should have you should have 10000 lumins per sq. ft. if you grew them on those lights they probly wouldnt get barly a foot tall you could have alot more in that space im sure plants and light haha.

Doc. You should check out Lowe's for your bulbs. You can get a 4 pack of Daylight CFL's (made by "brighter effects" or "bright effects") for around $11.00. They run at 6500K and put out 1300 lumen each. Save those 2700k's for your flowering. Get those bulbs as close as you can to the tops (without touching them) and make sure you have a fan on them! I think your green friends will thank you. Also, are you giving nutes yet? peace out home slice!

sorry about your troubles, but in a 1st grow, count on 'em, you just have to keep going
i'm posting here because i've done something pretty similar, real low and cheap, 78w total
i vegged with 3 26w 5500k, flowering with 3 26w 2700k, just 1 plant that luckily was a female
3 weeks into flower, so it's still a guess what i'll get, but here's what it looks like now

i have a timer a powerbar white pinting paper for reflection on the walls and roof/floor of the cab i still need to get the seeds(already have a source for already germed seeds($2 each good? there bagseeds not the best gentics i assume))

i am not really a noob becuz i have read and searched almost everything for about a year now and tryed once but failed due to very bad envirment and i was younger (18)
all i still need is the soil and pots and to install the garbage bag for no light leaks (doing right now and it takes approx. 5 mins:P)

here are the pics i ave now i will post ones with the reflector installed becuz i JUST completed the task and i will post on with the lights on and the door closed and open with the garbage bag up and down :) leave any more comments and encouragement:)

im using miracle grow oh and dont use 2700k for veg use 6500k jus some advice for youu
