Day 19:

No signs of nute burn or deficiencies that Ive noticed. Been doing a feed, feed, flush cycle and that seems to be working a lot better. I am a little worried about my dutch treat though. Even after being supercropped, it stretched a ton and is now only about 5-6 inches from the glass on my hood. I cant raise the hood any higher either. Temps in that area are 80 degrees but im pretty sure you aren't supposed to have a plant that close to a 1000watter? Its not even week three yet so who knows when shes gonna stop.

I'm thinking about getting C02 going. I have an extra scuba diving tank that I could use. I think all i need is a regulator and a timer? Would creating a C02 enriched environment this far into flowering be beneficial or should I just wait till next time?

Hello, today is the start of week 7, day 42. Been awhile since my last update but things are going great! Sticking to the FEED,FEED,FLUSH watering cycle and my plants are loving it. I got a little bit of heat burn on one of the colas on my dutch treat so i tied it over. Other than that everything has been running smoothly.Enjoy the pics!

nice, I run a 5x10x7 tent myself with 2x big kahuna hoods with 2x 600w bulbs. are you running 5gal tall pots or 5 gal short/wide pots? im switching from 3gal to 5gal this next run. also, your not running any kind of cooling (a/c)? how the hell are you keeping temps at bay? im running an 8000btu a/c when the lights are on and growing in a basement. my lights on/lights off temps are 75* and 73*. plus I run 2x 6" 44cfm fans for the hoods/lights.

Very cool, only 2x 600s tho? From my understanding, that sounds a little low for 50 sq feet of grow space, but if it works it works! I have a mixture of different types of 5 gal pots. Most are short and wide which helps with my limited height. No ac unit yet, daytime temps stay at 80 regularly -84/85 on a nice day like today. Ive got a 6in 440cfm pulling hot air from the hoods out the window and two 16in hurricane oscillating fans on opposite corners on full speed. I also open up the vent holes on the tent to let some of the hot air escape naturally. Kinda tight on money right now, but ac unit is definitely on my list.

Ok so another quick update on the veg tent,, went to the clone store today and picked up some sweet strains that I've been looking for since i started! Exciting times! Clones are about 4-5 inches tall. Lowered the light to about a foot and a half above the canopy. I have a 16in floor fan in the corner on low speed.

New strain list:

Mendocino Purps
Headband
Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies
Cinex - c99xOG kush
Cantaloupe Kush
2x Black '84
3x Tahoe OG Kush
Ace of Spades
Dirty Girl
XJ-13 - Jack Herer x G-13 which is one of my favorite strains ever
Pineapple Express
Cherry Pie

nice, I pull some above average yields each and every harvest. im contempt with my 600's for the time being. plus the cost of buying 2x1k ballasts, 2x 1k bulbs, and the added heat factor. my temps are absolutely spot on, only being a +/-3* lights on to lights off. im not sure I can obtain those temps with 2 1ks. 80+ is too high temps imo.

Yeah I don't blame you, if I could do it all again id have 3x600 watts with maybe a 730cfm inline pulling out hot air. 1000s do put off crazy heat; but if you are running a 8k btu ac, I don't see why you couldn't manage that temp increase if you wanted 1000s?

Also looking for a new nutrients line. After 2 grows with the techna flora, i think that its a good line of products, but I would only assume there is better shit out there. Any soil growers have a line they prefer after experimenting with different brands? Im looking at the humbolt county nuts line, I've heard some good things about that.

theycallme, ive been running technaflora recipe for success for 1.5 yrs now. I LOVE it, absolutely LOVE it. I don't follow their feed/water schedule tho. they want a feed/water/water/feed, no? I do feed, feed, water. after every feed or water day I vacuum ALL the over flow. im feeding/watering 3x a week, vs my other barely 2x a week. my plants have really exploded this run. I expect my yield to be about 25%+ more than in the past on their recommended feed/water cycles. I also add my budswel (organic guano) and molasses during my feed days as needed.

I now buy it by the gallon, its cheaper than the big "convenient" bottles.

I was gonna go with another line, but to be honest im a little afraid. ill either be disappointed and waste a lot of cash, of I might like it better and have to learn a new nute line all over. so im staying with what I know and comfortable with.

if your looking to change line ups, why not source single nutes and make your own stuff. MBFERTS.com has pretty much everything you could possibly want in ferts. and hella CHEAP!!!!!! just for an example the typical store bought MOAB (mother of all blooms) is over 100.00 for a small container in grow stores and online. they sell exactly the same chemical make up for 5.00 a POUND!!!!!!! lol

Yeah I've been doing feed, feed, water too. But i haven't been vacuuming up the runoff water. Do you do that so the soil dries fast after you flush so you can feed with nute water sooner? Ive been feeding/watering every 4-5 days. Is that too long in-between waterings? I was under the impression that you wanted the soil to dry out a bit on the top before watering. Recipe for success is the only nute line I've ever used. With this being said, it would seem foolish to ignore all of the other options and stick with the first one that works. Thanks for that website, I'm gonna cruise through there forsure.

yeah, I vacuum all excess so I can get more watering/feedings per week. I can do 3 a week on this schedule. in the past I would do barely 2 a week, more like 2 every 8 days. I water my plants when the pots feel light. its something you get used to, knowing the feeling of a lifted pot to tell when she needs watering. I switched up my feeding schedule, as technafloras schedule wasn't working for my nute hungry plants. I had one strain "starving" on my old schedule. now that strains has exploded.

I think nutrient mfg guidelines are just that, guidelines. every grower normally tweaks to suit their plants needs.

Update: Flower room day 50
50% milky and 1% amber trichomes on my Cinex which I've been told is a 7 weeker so probably gonna give her 5-7 more days then chop. Ordered the MOAB, should be here by thursday which ill use on my 8-9 week flowering strains before I give them their final flush.

Veg tent: Transplanted the 15 ladies into 1 gallon pots and topped them. After I see some new growth I'm gonna tie them over and super crop.

Update on the veg room: Did some Low stress training today. Gonna try for 2 or 4 terminal shoots, but whatever happens, happens. I started with the headband and accidentally snapped the top when i was bending it over. Sprayed some vitamin b1 on it and then tied a string to it and tied it to the light so its being held up off its own weight. I also taped around it because I've heard of that being done before to support it while it repairs itself. Ive never done this before so I could use some advice! Enjoy the pics!

Flower room: MOAB came in the mail today, decided to water today so i could give it to my 8 week plants for their last meal. I lowered my technaflora line up to 50% strength and added 10 ml per 5 gallon of the moab. Ppm was about 1000. image-21.jpegimage-20.jpeg image-19.jpeg image-18.jpeg image-17.jpeg image-16.jpeg image-15.jpeg
