2nd CFL Grow Refrigerator this time...

So this time, i've got my hands on an old fridge. I've since cut it up, and put holes in it. This time around for lights, i'm using 2 flavors. 6500k bulbs, and 2700k. Both sets i have 312watts of each.

Since my last bag seed grow was pretty successful on like 200something watts. I'm putting in the ground, some nice ordered seeds.

x10 White Rhino (Reg)
x1 Blue Mistic (Fem)
x1 Fast Bud (Fem)
x1 Big Devil (Fem)
x1 Green Poison (Fem)

and x2 WR the blue mistic, and green poison are in the ground as of the 16th of November. Today, one WR and the BM is poking out the ground.

Temps inside the fridge are, actually, quite pleasant. between 65-75 when lights are off. and 80-85 when on. Since the inside of the fridge was white, i decided not to mylar the inside.

Anyone successfully grown Nirvana's White Rhino under CFL? If so how long is recommended veg? I was thinking about 3-4 weeks.

Minor update:

Encountered some green shit growing, and expanding in the 3 plant jugs that were half cut milk bottles. Looks like some sorta algae, and it seemed like it was stressing out my blue, and one of my wr's. Have since transplanted them into something more appropriate for growing. Hope this helps the girls out.

Here we are on week 4. They're growing fast, despite discoloration on a few plants, and mostly lower leaves. They're about 6-8inches tall already, with great node growth on all 4 plants. I'm thinking the reason some of the discoloration is due to the water i've been feeding them. I have been using some put-up rain water, that had a few leaves and acorns and shit in it, so the water wasn't all too 'clear'... anywho.. I still have some great, 6.2-ish pH rain water i stored from my last grow. I'll be using that, and hoping for more rainfall soon..

I'll have some pics up within the next few days.

On an important side note.. my blue mistic, already has pistils twards the top nodes. and i'm still on 18/6 veg cycle.. :s It's only been 4 weeks from seed... is it possible this is an autoflower, and i wasn't notified of it? who knows.. i just hope it's some good smoke..

my buddies Green Poison is doing well, and one of my 2 white rhinos, has just taken off. It's the only one thats been in the same pot since birth. The other 3 plants have been transplanted 2 weeks ago.

Some of the discoloration. Most of the funky looking leaves are on both the WRs.

Node growth is beautiful, and looks like this for all 4 plants.

BTW:

Both the "Regular" White Rhino seeds i threw in the ground are females. Thats 2 for 2 females in a bag of regular seed of WR. NICEEE. Also the Blue mistic has a few pistils growing. Since this is week 4, i'm thinking 2 more weeks of veg (making that a grand total of 7 weeks veg) then throwing em into flowering phase. whatcha think?

Hey just found your grow today. It is interesting. A fridge is a major score. I have four plants under four 48" t8s 6500k and they're only about half this size at 7 weeks. Yours are how old now? The fridge seems to really hold in the light/reflect well. And of course the fridge was designed for regulating temps and keeping pests out. Good deal. Any thoughts on where/how/when you're going to flower? +rep!

They are a tiny bit over 4 weeks old in veg. I plan on flowering them in the next 3 weeks. Giving me a total of 7 weeks or so in veg. Then switching to flower. The reason why mine are growing so fast, is like you said, the fridge helps maintain a great atmosphere. Aside from the fridge, i'm using Fox Farm Ocean forest soil, Rain water, caught fresh by my gutter, and 312watts of 6500k color. You 4 48" tubes are great, i plan on adding those in my fridge soon, for vertical growth - spots where my CFLs don't touch. I highly recommenced putting a good bunch of CFLs in your grow. You need more wattage, i assume with your t8s you're at about 100ish actual watts. You need more for good, fast growth, if all other circumstances are right.

As for my flower stage, i plan on easing the 12/12 light phase on them slowly. ie, from 18/6, i'll stop and give them 24-48hours of total darkness - no lights whatsoever. The next bit of light they get, will be 12/12 schedule. Flowering phase. At that time, when in their 24-48hr dark stage, i'll be replacing my 6500k bulbs with 12, 26w 2700k bulbs. same total wattage as the veg stage. I predict smoking this stuff by april 20th. Well before that actually. By mid march or so, they'll be done curing and about ready to smoke.

Good luck man, thanks for you input.

Added my first batch of nutrients to my rain water, and fed them yesterday. Today, they've picked up a good deal, and sprang to life. I'm going to continue adding nutrients till i start seeing problems. For the next 2 weeks i'll keep feeding them 1/2 str nutes with water.

What's up sicks string samurai? Your plants are looking great and healthy for a fridge grow. Very impressive! I'm just starting another round of the blue mystics. I can't wait until I can grow my regular seeds (master kush and northern lights) but I'm saving them for when I move to a house.
