2nd indoor grow

Hey everyone, first off I just recently found these forums and its good to see a place like this again (last one i was on was overgrow).

I'm gearing up for a grow in my closet. It's decently sized, about 8 x 5.. irregular sized though, but 10 ft ceiling, so height not too much of an issue.

I already have some gear left from an old grow, but I need more. Currently I have:

-1 400w MH Bulb and Ballast
-more floros and fans than i'll ever need

I want to get:

-HPS, unsure of wattage but I do want to start small in order to see how the smell and heat issues will go.
-ventilation. Lots of it. Heat was a huge issue last grow, this time round I have a much bigger space, but still lesson learned.
-possibly another MH

I am in an apartment building so my ventilation will have to consist of wholes being sawed into the closet door, possibly a filter depending on how bad it gets, with the exhaust blown out of a nearby patio window, intake coming directly from my room which is air conditioned in the summer. Sounds good?

So yes, this will be a simple set up. Soil grow from seed. As far as equipment goes, what should my priorities be here?

Unsure of strain, but I plan to score pure feminized. Probably some blueberry and something else. I'm not too up to speed on the new genetics these days, any ideas?

If I were you... I would find one small closet, hook up some flouros and veg my mothers and clones. A hole with a fan will work perfectly, but you could get by leaving the door open during its epic light phase.

As for your 8x5 room, I would go nuts flowering as many plants as I could jam in there (40 scrog or 16 regular plants or 8 massive topped beauties). Ditto for the ventilation on this one.

As for genetics, do what you gotta do. Pick the ones that suit you best.

Thanks for the reply. That'd probly be ideal for sure. The only prob i have is that i have a couple roomates. They're cool with the growing, but i dunno if they wanna sacrifice their space. I'm thinking for now it'll have to be a one closet operation, but that might change.

You're lucky, my roommates weren't cool with it. Too bad for them I pay the bills and what I say goes.
