I'm wanting to get a grow tent that's 2x4x5 with 400w hps/mh electric ballast and two 6" inline fans 240cfm each. One for intake and outake. Do you think this will be enough air circulation to keep temps cool?

For a 400 the biggest tent I would get is 3x3. 2 250 watt hps's would be amazing in that tent. Use one of those fans just for cooling the lights (cooltubes) and use the other one with a passive intake.

That light is fine for that tent, even at 50w per sqft you'd be fine with a 400 in a 4x2 so I wouldn't worry about the tent size. Also, with two 6in inline fans you should have no problem cooling the tent. Do you have a cooltube or hood, or is it an open wing reflector?

a 3x3x5' is 45 cf....a 2x4x5 is 40 cf.....

I understand that thanks, I'm just saying a 400 in a 3x3 tent has better light spread than in a 2x4 ok?
Maybe a little better coverage but not by much, especially depending on what kind of hood you have for your setup. I think it was the way you worded it, you said "For a 400 the biggest tent I would get is 3x3", when a 3x3 tent is actually bigger than a 4x2 tent

It will be the wing reflector. I have 134w of cfls at the moment I could add if need more light. 3 23w 5000k 1 65w 2700k 8700 total lumens. Have two under them now in Rubbermaid box until I can get tent.
