2x75 Watt Fluorescent will it work?

Hey this is my first grow and I was wondering if It's gonna work. I started with some bag seed, I don't really care if its grows super fast or big I just want to be able to end up with some bud in the end. I've got two 20 watt fluorescent grow lights that each have a 75 watt light output set up in my closet a few inches above the plant and I keep them on 24 hours a day. It's about 1 month old now and looks like its growing kind of slow but thats okay for me as long as it stays healthy. I just wanna try to make this easy so im using tap water and regular potting soil. The soil has a thin layer of sand on top of it because I had this knat problem and they kept laying eggs in the soil but the sand keeps the knats away because when they can't dig down to lay their eggs in it and the eggs that were there couldn't grow up and climb out of it. So pretty much I just wanted to know if this set up will work from start to finish. I got some pictures to go along with it. I was also wondering when I should put the plant in a bigger pot?

na not well atleast... see how stretched it is already? not getting enough light from those pupps, when i started i used those exact same lights from wall mart i took that plastic part off mine though. I use cfl bulbs now much better. U can use more expensive lights that work better but thats a higher cost for the light and electricity. but cfl bulbs are real cheap.

I'm not sure what you spent on those light, but in my area the local Hydro shop has the hydrofarm t5 4ft single light with reflector for like $50, they have the 2ft for $42 I think, or you can get the big steup with multiple lights.

Any idea what the lumen output of those lights are?

Also I was told never to use tap water, I didn't listen at first but after I killed my first few seedlings I switched to tapwater and got further before making a big mistake. Although, I changed a lot of other things at the time too, so can't say it was just the water that did it.

let your tapwater sit out for 24hrs. Walmart has the cfl's and the y-connectors you need. Use the lights you have for seedlings or side light.

Cool, so it sounds like if I use better water, move the lights I have to the side for side light, and put a couple cfls in the middle with a y connector I should be fine right?

yeah they sell these things at wal mart too that plug right into a socket and have a socket for the cfl. like 59 cents a piece and then u can just by good plastic thin rope and extension cords and it will work great plus the energy consumption is very minimal especially with smaller fans.

Okay I went to the local store and got me a two 23 watt cfl's and that seems to be working pretty good along with the tubes I already had so will this be good until I can get some more?
