3 by 3 tent, how many autos ?

Just curious how many autos I should put in a 3 by 3 by 63 tall tent? Also will a 600 watt HID with a 6 inch fan at about 500 cfm overheat this space? I've never grown in a tent. Thanks

set up sounds good. auto's will likely disappoint. If it were me I'd pack
the floor space with one gallon dirt bags with an auto in each and watch the jungle unfold.
depending on the auto strain(s) you choose this could work out very well with your set up.
I suggest sticking with an old proven selection from the auto store

I would go with 6-8 plants in 5gal buckets in a 3x3. I have a 2x4 and just finished 5 in 86 days with my harvest dry at 15.48oz.

I grow one Auto in my 32x32x76 tent.
You can pack it with several small autos and they will struggle in every way, focus all your energy on one good auto.
That is what I did ! with amazing results !
There is no wrong way !
Just enjoy the grow, have fun and try new things.
Do your homework on seed strains, each strain has its positive and negatives.

I have 7 and that is way too much. All at different stages about 4 weeks apart from the first to the last. Id say 4 is good, 3 would be better. I have the same set up as you. If you're going to scrog 1 would be good.

I couldnt agree more, I have almost the exact same measurements "3*3" room and when i first started growing i was throwing in five or six and pulling 5 to 6 ounces more or less. I still had some herb left so i decided to go easy and do one plant. That one plant turned into a monster. Ive ran think different before but this time she fully opened her arms and filled the whole 3*3 room and still needed more room. She was growing so fast you could pull out a chair and watch. She was drinking a gallon and a half a day. After it was all said and done dry weight came to 10.8 ounces. However like Combat said it all depends on the strain, if you run short phenos like white dwarf then yea put at least two or three but your average auto would do better by itself.

It is amazing to watch the monster grow in front of your eyes. I was still vertically challenged in the tent, I have a 7 footer now so I can't wait to see how she grows next time!
I haven't got a dry weight on mine yet. Harvested her yesterday's morning so she has a few days left not including the cure. I will post it when I get it.

These are under a Sun System 315W LEC light which is perfect for 3x3.

Four max if you train your plants more if you let them grow naturally.

we had a 3x3 tent and have done four, but three works very well, two even better. Crowding gets you small amounts from each plant. not crowding gives them room to grow and spread out, thereby increasing your harvest. i'm sure others will disagree as everyone has an opinion but we did tent growing for ten years and have some experience when it comes to getting high yields, healthy plants.

Yes. A 6" Hyper-Fan®.
It pulls through a carbon filter first then out the top and out of the garage.
