3-Gal Bucket Question

Hey Everyone,

I just have a quick question that I was hoping somebody could give me some advice on.

Just a moment ago I completed my grow room setup, all that needs to be done is to put the soil and seeds in.

I am using 3-gal buckets for my grow. I live in an apartment and found the buckets in the basement, they were all paint/stucco buckets. I have cleaned them but some of the paint will not come off, and I am very picky about this because I am using feminized god bud seeds.

I decided to line the buckets with doubled up black trash bags to separate the bucket from the soil. Will this be safe for my plants?

Thanks in advance.

if you can figure out how to make them drain rapidly it would work.

Alright,

I have already taken that step by drilling holes into the buckets and holes in the bags and pulling the bag through the hole just enough to avoid contact with the bucket.

I was just worried about the trash bags affecting the soil.

Thanks frm

nope it's fine, you can actually buy plastic grow bags. I prefer them as they are tall and narrow, Marijuana is deep rooting plant by nature and they accommodate that better.
