3 gallon buckets

Lowe's had three gallon blue buckets in the paint aisles. I'm trying to use just the blue buckets without anything else around it to block out the light on this grow. So far it's working.

The only place I've seen black buckets is hydro shops but the mark up on them is crazy.

Yeah it's crazy. No light leaching with the blues? Do they come with the kids and how much where they?

I got the 5 gallon buckets. Buckets just under $3 and lids were less than $2 but sometimes the cashier's don't know the lids are sold separately and they only ring up the bucket or you can self check out and save a few dollars. It's bullshit, the buckets should come with free lids

Go with black buckets. Blues let light in.

Grown with blue bucket with no problems but the lids were black and the plant tops provided plenty of shade. Black is the way to go but blue can work.

I've used the blue Lowes buckets for years without any issue. The amount of light that comes through the bucket is very miniscule and has never given me negative results.
Roots stay clean and theres always lots of em.
