why do you reveg? it seems like a lot of work and time for that stressed plant to come back? i have one box(now) and i have an easy perpetual. plant two autoflowering ak47s a month. you harvest in two months so at the most youll have 4 plants at a time or use feminized autos seeds and only plant one every three weeks theyll bloom on 20 hours light so no need for two boxes or switching light cycles brillant.heres a pic of my ak47xblueberrys @ one month.

Hi dimebagdan,

Starting over again is the answer! Also I like the idea of keeping them going and been doing it for many years now. I know a guy whos been smoking off of just 2 plants for over 5 years now, Hindu Kush and AK47! Its what works for you I guess.

I'll begin to introduce clones though as things progress. As I said earlier I lost everything last year, years of genetics, mothers, equipment the lot and I was determined to get these 2 strains back up and running again.

Nice plant btw :-)

I'd rather not discuss that here :-)

Regarding reveg, what you get is a far more mature plant. Take those autos you grow for example, they never get the chance to reach full maturity as they flower so fast. When you see a 3rd/4th time reveg you will see what I mean, heavy swollen calyx's (sp?) the size of peas! Stem like a tree trunk and weighty buds full of goodness. Some say they lose potentcy but I and many others have never personally experienced that.... its what works for the individual.

Here is my AK47 first time round, CFL grown of course, but she had only a 2 weeks veg period and I just know shes capable of much more as she matures.

Also a shot of some bud from the Bubba O Kush from this thread, same plant first time round....again I will beat the yield 2nd time and the quality will be just as good.

Think about reveg, forget what you read until you have tried it over a period of time (years in my case). We waste so many good plants.

sorry but id rather have my own fresh made seeds to start. but congrats to you that youve got a strain so tuff you can do that with. most new strains would herm if you try to switch lights to veg or reveg.:leaf:

Hi dimebagdan, thanks for contributing,

I always think its about what works for the individual in this hobby. I did not mean to put down those autos btw, I know they are really popular atm.

I like that heavy couchlock stone and thats another reason for me to reveg, when I smoke those dark brown buds cut after 12/13 weeks they glue me to the chair :-) I find some of the best couchlock comes with 2nd/3rd reveg and really brown mature buds.

Having said that I've taken 3 small cuts from the Bubba O Kush today. I also removed the SCROG screen! I wasnt sure it would work in that small space, the screen may have been too small to handle the growth.

Heres a shot of the Kush now released from her frame! and one to show the small space I'm working with.

'dirtclean' thanks for coming. I use CFL's by choice, I enjoy growing with them. 2700s and 6400s mixed again it just works for me.

I noticed when I re vegged I had that dark brown couch lock bud. I prefer the opposite side of the spectrum but I think its cool how your intentions are what you like to smoke, instead of "How to grow a plant":)

Hi GreenGold,
Yes, I enjoy that 'nailed to the couch' affect late at night! :bigjoint:

Heres a couple more pics just taken.

The Bubba O Kush going into her second week 12/12 after reveg. YOu can see the new shoots, I count about 13/14 sights all about same level and just about to start to flower up.

The Needles AK47, Day 28 tomorrow of 12/12. revegges often look more mature than they are second time round, she'll give me a good solid OZ dry, I'm confident of that. Whole plant is no more than 12" tall. You can see the red/pink tints in the forming buds.

It's good to see people doin experimental grows. I've been revegin for years. I have harvested, reveged, cloned, flowered with those clones, reveged, cloned again, & flowered with those clones again. While the clones are rooting your plant is still veging.
People dont realize the bud growing power of that established rootball when you reveg.

Good show, Phoenix

Myself I have never revegged..although I can see the logic..its just not done often...we do it with fruit right? we dont chop them down each harvest. Maybe ill try a reveg with one of mine...obviously trimming will be more difficult this method..plus we would have flushed already...so i guess could you please tell us the general process...

veg -
flower -
when it comes time to flush and harvest what actions do you take..where is the highest or most ideal point to cut the plant?with an established root system im guessing the plant will be able to generate leaves from scratch...what nutes do you use? pure vegging nutes for veg, then pure flower for flower, or do you try to keep the fan leaves alive and do a light nute mix and the correct spectrum lighting to keep the fan leaves etc alive as well as the buds growing?

i guess with something like this, the more info the better!

Glorious pics, man. I like the simplicity of a veg flower reveg cycle. No sprouting seeds, no cloning, just a cyclical harvest with plants that get stronger over time. About how long between harvests?

HydroClosetGrower, Are you going to start reveg now, or after it finishes flowering?
I was gonna wait till after harvest. You can't see it on that pic, that plant has two small buds at the bottom. I was wondering if I could clip all the other buds, leave a few leaves and then reveg that plant. So far, the buds on that one look like my favorite and i am regretting not getting it bigger before flowering. I wanna reveg then clone after that. check out the grow...

From what I've read, it's usually a good idea to just take it all the way through flowering, once you've started. Sometimes, with plants that are beginning to bud, even when you switch to 18/6 or 24/0 it'll still try to flower for awhile. So my advice, just flower it, harvest what you get, leave 10% of the buds behind, and return it to 24/0. Then you can definitely train it however you want.
