300w Coverage

i was wondering if 2x300w panel leds would be sufficient to cover 8 5gal buckets in a 5x5 tent... I'm soon to start a journal and would like to have everything so i won't have to wait on delivery if other items may be needed... my plan is to deliver a controlled environment journal to RIU to maybe use as a template or a "what not to do" for new growers (if I fuck it up!!! lol)... so I'm at a bump in the road on deciding on 4x300w or 2x300w for my flowering space... All opinions and advice are HIGHLY appreciated!!! Thanks in advance and Happy Growing To All!!!

5x5 is quite a large space to adequately cover with leds. I would estimate a need of 1000-1200 actual Watts of led.

It is hard to know what led wattage will cover what area. It sounds like enough, but not all led are created equal. I know my friend has a 4x4 foot grow tent that can go up to 8 foot in height and he has two 200 watt led lamps and its more than enough. He uses magenta, red and blue spectrums in roughly a 4:3:1, respectively.

I'm just parroting info I have read, so take that for what it's worth. I have read 30-40w of LEDs per square foot of space.

If you are looking at the same 2 x 300w panels I was looking at on Ebay, they run at ~190w each for a total of ~380w.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge will answer.
