Yup. Them leaves turned up like that in the center (not just close to the light) look like they are praying. They are praying for Mg. Should be good to go from here. They look really healthy overall.

majek, I just had to say your grow looks great and it did my heart good to see your subject line, "Legal Recrational"! GREAT!
Thanks for stopping by :) I wish everyone could put that in their subject lines, lol. It's only a matter of time...

BTW, you sprayed guano? I bet that smelled delightful. ;) :blsmoke:
Lol, it was my first time using it I wasn't sure how to apply it or if its water soluble or not. Just put a little in a spray bottle so I could drench the roots well. I probably won't use it any more I don't want to cause more problems. Just thought it might give them some of the nutrients they are lacking from the chemical nutes.

Looks like it's that time again...

The kushberries are at week 6 so I'm guessing about 3 more weeks to go. I've grown this strain 3 or 4 other times and they all finish in about 9-9 1/2 weeks.
I've noticed 2 very different phenotypes from these seeds, one has short dark leaves and almost no side branches but the buds are very potent with a vanilla scent.
The other is very skinny with lighter leaves and lots of branching, I prefer this one because the yield is twice as much even if the quality isn't as good.
This time around only one of the plants has the sativa pheno, turns out to be the one with a magnesium def. but the epsom salt seems to have done the trick.
The spotting has stopped and the new growth looks green and healthy, I super-cropped her to grow at a 90 degree angle and it recovered pretty well.

The white widow is at week 4 and the chemdawgs are at week 3, I tried supercropping them as well but they are so resilient they just climbed back up to the sky.
Its amazing how tiny the WW is compared to the others. I think dinachem messed up the order and sent me an auto or something because I've never seen anything like it.
I will probably harvest the same amount from 1 branch as I will get from this entire plant, but it's no big deal because the chemdawgs are flowering nicely.
One of the plants still has a some clawing on the fan leaves, the temps got down to 20f here outside a couple weeks ago there was nothing I could do but turn on the heat.
I don't think it will effect the yield much, the other plant is very healthy with no clawing whatsoever and the buds are about the same size. Just have to wait and see.

Hey whats up fellow Coloradan!!! Just checked out your grow (nice) and was wondering about a few things 1. what size tent do you use 2. soil etc 3. wattage of your lights 4 you were saying the cold you think damaged your plants....are they in a garage? What are your temps on the cold days and do you run your lights at night or during the day 5. why three plants in a pot? 6. why do you mess with seeds and take chances when you can get first gen clones from disp. ?.......Because I just ordered some supplies and I was wondering if I should put tent in Garage or house, I feel i can put it in garage just as long as i run lights at night when its cooler.

I was wondering if you could tell the sex by looking at the seeds...I wouldn't trust my eyes though. I'll leave it up to the pros lol

Those kushberries look like 10 weekers. Lots of sativa in the structure and the way they are stacking. Looking dank, man.

Hey what's up thanks for checking out my journal :)

My tents are very tiny about 2.5' x 2.5' x 5.5' that's why I decided to put 3 plants in the same pot. I've done it before without any problems, in my opinion root-bound is a myth they will grow just fine together as long as they are all females and the pot is large enough. Just have to train them to keep the canopy even and don't grow different strains or they will be different sizes.

I use Roots Organics soil with about 10% perlite and a layer of blood meal added to the mix. I used Foxfarm soil previously I just made the switch and I'm glad that I did. It retains moisture better and it's half the price. I'm using a 250w hps in one tent and a 400w in the other. The kushberries have been in the 250w tent for the majority of their life that's why they look a little stretched. I decided to keep the chemdawgs under the 400w since they are so healthy but I plan on getting another 400w lamp very soon.

I grow from seed just because its less maintenance and I've had some trouble getting my clones to root. I dont have a mmj card so I can't get clones from a disp. (yet). I have my sources I could get clones if I really wanted but I prefer seedlings because they can be topped and trained a little easier to maximize my grow area. Also because a friend gave me a ton of kushberry beans I can't let them go to waste :)

The tents are in my spare bedroom I wouldn't recommend growing in a garage during the winter because of the cold temps. I like to run my lights from 8pm-8am during the coldest hours. I have fans pulling in fresh air from my balcony, I left the door open on accident a few nights in a row and it effected one of the chemdawg plants big time. The leaves are clawing down and I noticed significantly less trichome production compared to the healthy plant but the buds are about the same size. I tried to bring up the temps but the damage is already done. I won't make that mistake again.

More pics coming tonight I'll try to take some closeup shots of the buds, I'll post them if they don't come out blurry D:

10 weeks sounds about right, they are starting to crown but the lower branches always seem to mature faster than the tops. Week 7 starts today so I'll let them go another 3 weeks, but you know what that means I'll be needing your assistance for 3 more weeks :eyesmoke:

Well I tried messing with the color correction on my camera to get some better shots, unfortunately they came out worse lol. Also tried to take some closeup pics without much success, only because the flash on this camera sucks its way too bright. If I had some better lighting I could get some closeups I might throw a cfl in the tent just so I can take pics without flash.

The kushberries are at 7 weeks now, still healthy for the most part but a few more leaves have yellowed and curled up on me. As I mentioned above they are not the biggest or most beautiful plants in the world because they spent most of their life in the 250w tent, I was planning on rotating them weekly between tents but it was too much work and I feel like the dinachems deserve the 400w a little more. These plants would have benefited from more training early on, also another week or 2 in veg wouldn't have hurt. All is well though because I never expected all 3 to turn out female in the first place.

The dinachems are 3 weeks into flower and they are starting to get very frosty, too bad you can't tell from the pics :(
In the first pic you can see the pint-size white widow plant in front of the others, she is starting to bulk up now but I still doubt the yield will be anywhere near the dinachems. You can also see the droopy leaves on the DC plant to the right, they look alot better now but the damage has already been done. I will never let my temps get that low again. The healthy plant on the left has much softer leaves to the touch and more trichomes so I know I've done a little damage, I just hope it doesn't effect the final product too much.

And a few HPS pics for your enjoyment, because we all know how much everyone loves HPS pics :)

So here's my second bad attempt at taking closeup pictures, this time I brought in a CFL and pointed it at the plants instead of using the crappy flash on my camera. Still looks blurry and grainy but I can get the lens a little closer to the buds now.

I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of the family, my friend doogleef was running out of space in his tent so he hooked me up with this awesome LA woman clone and a batch of some super soil. She had a rough ride home but is recovering much better than I expected.
This plant is going to be a monster I can already count 15+ potential bud sites, maybe a little less after I lollipop in a few days. I don't have much space either but as soon as I harvest the kushberries I'll stick the dinachems in the other tent and it will have this one all to itself.
This is my first time growing in super soil so I have no idea what to expect, I just plan on giving it tap water throughout the entire grow and hope for the best. I started tying down the branches to spread them evenly but I will do a lot more training soon. Thanks again doog!

The dinachem plants are almost 4 weeks now, the buds are starting to fill out nicely and the smell is very strong. I might need to buy a carbon scrubber they are getting very smelly. These plants are completely covered in trichomes, they should be perfect for making bubble hash. I plan on saving the trim from all of these plants in the freezer until I harvest the clone in 9-10 weeks. I've always wanted to try out these 5gal bubble bags but I never had enough trim to work with.
I will probably end up freezing the entire WW plant, most of it anyway and a few popcorn buds from various plants I want to make as much as possible. I've pretty much forgotten about the WW it doesn't look very promising so I give it the least amount of light.

The kushberries start week 8 today, about 25% orange pistils but the trichs still look clear/milky. I think I will give them one last feeding then its plain water for a week until harvest. To prevent cal/mag problems in the future I plan on getting some dolomite lime and adding epsom salt in the soil from the start.
If this super soil grow shows a big improvement I will definately make the switch and use it from now on, chemical nutes are too expensive and I always end up with these strange yellowing/rusting deficiencies late in flower. I want my plants to stay healthy from beginning to end.

I'm not exactly sure I would have to ask doog, he said it is similar to subcool's SS recipe but not exact. I think the base soil is Royal Gold basement mix. I normally flush my plants during the final week it all depends if the leaves are yellowing and dying. In this case the kushberries were yellowing early on so I cut back on the nutes early, but the dinachems were healthy so I fed them all the way until harvest.

This update is a bit late but better late than never :)

The kushberry plants came down about a week ago and the chemdawgs were harvested just a few days ago. The kushberries turned out OK, a bit wispy and the tops took forever to finish as usual. The dinachems turned out amazing they finished extremely fast in only 55 days and the buds are white with pink hairs, the scent is very lemony and fuely just as I expected. I hostently prefer the taste/smell of the kushberry a little more but I hate the fact that it takes 10 weeks to finish, in that amount of time I could almost harvest twice. Dinachem seems like the ideal indica strain for me, it stays short and fat and completely resin coated even the fan leaves are covered in trichomes, perfect for making hash.

Speaking of hash, I had about a 1/2 oz of trim laying around so I pulled out the bubble bags again and gave it a go. This is only my second attempt at bubble hash but I think it turned out pretty decent. I took Matt Rize's advice and waited for the coldest day of the year it must have been 20f outside lol. It ended up a little green because my work bag ripped at the very end, If anyone knows where to buy a 220u work bag let me know. It might not be full melt but I'm proud of the results, I still need lots of practice when it comes to knowing how long to let it sit and how long to mix. I'm starting to think one of those bubble machines is a good investment.

I made a mistake in my previous post I thought the clone donated to me was LA woman but it turns out to be blueberry, this explains the sativa growth structure and I'm fine with that now that I have the space. It grows very similar to kushberry I think my seeds came from a blueberry mother, it responds well to training and loves to branch out. According to doogleef she finishes in 8 weeks which is also great news. She is growing like a beast and loving her home in the super soil. I tied down all the main branches and spread them out the best I could, I also gave it a small top-dressing of epsom salt and blood meal. I don't plan on feeding it anything else except maybe guano or Bud Candy when the time is right but I don't want to burn anything the SS is hot already. I will see how she looks a week from now and then decide.

I started 3 new seeds today, 1 dinachem and 2 more kushberry. I plan on doing things right this time and vegging for at least a month under 18/6 then I will try taking some clones. I've always had trouble getting my cuttings to root in the past which is why I usually grow from seed, my main problem was I didn't let them get mature enough (preflowers/alternating nodes) first. I have rockwool cubes and a dome but I still need to pick up some rooting hormone. I'll try the powder this time I think the the gel I used before was also part of the problem.

I want to convert an area in my spare bedroom into a flower room it's already partitioned off I just need to seal the light somehow. The law allows me to grow 6 plants at a time which takes up a lot of space and these tents just won't cut it, but they will be perfect for moms and clones. As soon as I get the time I'll take another trip to the hydro shop and pick up a zipper tarp and more grow nutes and I might buy another light while I'm there.
I'll post another update as soon as they sprout or when I move my lazy ass and get supplies which ever comes first :)

Yeah I can already see the trichs looks like it will be a great yield too, thanks again man! My kushberries have a pheno that looks and grows very similar, I like plants with long leaf stems it makes for an easy trim.

That's what friends are for.

My 2nd one comes down today. Was the only one so far in a 7 gallon pot and it looks amazing. First one was in a 5 and was nice but....damn. I'll drop a video of her when the sun comes up.

Not sure if the increase is from the extra 2 gallons or just the normal progression with running a plant a couple times and dialing it in. We are going to find out though. :weed:

Awesome video what camera do you use it does look extremely frosty. Do you always wait for 50% amber before you chop? The leaves look soft and healthy too mine are always dry and crispy at this point :( Dinachem is the only plant I've grown that stayed green and happy from beginning to end and WOW I can tell a huge difference in quality.
