32 days old .. how long should this plant Veg for ?

fist time indoor grow ..

strain: violator kush

32 days from seed .. one is FIM (12 tops) one is LST (7-8 tops) couldn't decide what would be best for my T5HO lights

question: how long time schould they veg for before I put em in to flowering ?

I know it depends on what size and yield you want ..

but as I only have 2 plants and 6 T5ho tubes for veg and a 600W HPS for flowering and fairly big pots ..

I want to get the most out of them without waiting for next year to flowering them ..

what would "you" recommend/you do your self ?

i would grow veg another 2 weeks, i dont veg for 2 months to long imo.

that plant will double in size when u flower her. if it wer me id put on 12\12 now. but thats just me

2 months ago I was wondering the same thing.

I have 2 vegged for 2 months, 74 days from seed and 4 rooted clones 1 month old. All have been in 12/12 for 3 days now.

I wanted to see what the diff between 2 month veg and 1 month clones in flower will be.

guess Im on week 5 now so like 1-5 week more ..

hmmm .. as they have been FIM/LST I would like to give em a littel extra veg..
also since they are in a 26L pot (have one more for the one in the 12L pot)

so I guess maybe like 3-4 weeks more so they get a total of +8 weeks or so .. or maybe if they are big in size and preflowering around week 7

lets see ..

but nice to know they double in size (is that mostly in hight ?)

Depends on strain, enviroment and if you LST or not

In what direction are you changing the veg time based on LST?

makeing it longer .. to give them side shoot time to come up and the plant to grow more .. as Im trying to make em as bushy as possible ..

yeah i would veg extra an extra 2 weeks or more to make up the growth that was lost from FIM, nice plant!

the FIM did "cost" atlest 3-4 days before if was growing nicely agin and another 2-3 days before the top 4 shoots begon to grow agin ..

so I guess if 6 weeks is the norm .. they schould atlest get 7 and maybe even 8 as I do have space for them 2 plants and 7 gallon pots ..


Im now in the start of week 6 and have it under controle and plants is growing realy fast so I guess in like 2 weeks I will begin to consider it .. dependin on size and if they begon to preeflower .. if so I will switch ..

they say you should veg until you see preflowers and at that time you will achieve best yield.. I haven't done it but I'm gonna try this out, if you have space it always better to wait 2 months

how many new tops did you get?

Pretty plant, looks so much like my little Super Bud! I usually just veg for 4 weeks, but I move them outdoors at that point.

4 .. but by the time they began to grow agin the 2 side nods have grow up .. so 6 ... but thats only in the center .. 6 more is growing up from the sides .. so fare I like this more then LST .. but I guess you can combine them ..
