$361 480 Watt QB Initial Impressions

I wanted to share some initial thoughts on a product from Canna/Ganai Technology. I was in the market for a 4x4 lighting solution and was initially going to go with QB96's, went to place the order and between adding them to the cart and checking out they sold out. So I started checking out other options and fell down the Alibaba rabbit hole.

I found Canna/Ganai Technology and discovered that their products were available via Amazon. I have never ordered from Alibaba and was a bit skittish to do so, having the extra assurance of Amazon made me feel a bit more comfortable. I opted for a 480 watt 4 board light with 301lmb in 3000k on a 23" x 23" heat sink for $361 shipped. If I feel the need I can add 660nm down the road.

I ordered last Wednesday evening and received a email right away from "Rocky" confirming the order along with a follow up the next day with pictures attached of the light being boxed up for shipment. The light arrived today, five days from china to my front steps. The light was packaged extremely well, plenty of regular bubble wrap along with plenty of the heavy duty bubble packaging, rigid cardboard angles protecting all corners etc. Nothing screaming grow light on the box either.

After unwrapping, it was as simple as plugging the driver into the light and then into the wall. The pre wired dimmer works like a charm. I looked the fixture over prior to testing it out and all appears to be in order and it appears well put together considering that there isn't much rocket science involved in assembly.

Is it fancy, nope. Is it top of the line, nope. However, If your a hobby/personal grower, $361 for a plug and play 480 watt fixture might be worth a look.

Thats the company I got my light from. I love the driver isn't on the back of the boards. I got mine a little while ago so it's a different dimmer. And smaller heat sinks. But great light. I went 3000k+r. Mine pulls 443w from the wall. Best money I've ever spent.

Good to hear that you have had one up and running for a bit with no issues!

It's great to hear you had a positive experience on Alibaba. I just did my first transaction 3 days ago for a 660w quantum board with 301b diodes. Smooth process so far. My package is currently in Anchorage, Alaska. Your review gives me a boost of confidence :)

Oddly enough, I went through the amazon listing as it was cheaper than the listing on Alibaba.

Can you confirm that they are using Samsung lm301b diodes? I have looked into them as they let you pick spectrum and such

Its printed on the board lm301b and the diodes are completely square(I believe that's 1 tell). Other then that I have no idea how to confirm 100%
Yea I mean that's one plus as I believe other diodes can be more rectangular. Not bad then
