hey, now thats what im talkin about!

what u mean poly? how can u tell? i did a rather heavier feeding last res change, which was on the 18th...i dump, clean, and refill the res every other weekend, and top off the water in between...but i am following the instructions. using Heavy 16 bud A and bud B. seems to be working pretty well. these plants are my first go at flowering hydro so...they kinda ugly and brutish, but seem ok. tops of the colas sprouted real quick over the last week leaving room to fill in...kinda weird looking tho. each cola looks like it has an antenna! lol...

so why u think overfed poly?

dark oily leaves, tall, some burning, and deformed edges, but especially the way the bud is forming at the top with the single leaves so dark and the plant still growing taller. too much N, and not not enough K(why it keeps getting taller) i think that you can keep doing what your doing for the most part, back off the feed a little and you should get some big buds, but right now because of the way things look on that plant youve added a week or 2 to the harvest time.

you just got to get it tuned in now, your main problem will be learning to not follow the directions on the package and make some calls yourself. practice makes perfect i rarely follow a packages directions, i use them more as guidelines.

great advice guys. def tough to figure stuff out by trial and error. tbh im happy theyre even growing. first go around, absolutely no testing or anything whatsoever. not terribly shabby considering. i am looking into a multimeter now though, i think its time that i start trying to balance my res. when i replace the res this weekend i will prolly go very light on the feed. maybe i wont even change it, just top off again, less stress and whatnot on the plants.

lol considering im smoking straight trim, ill be happy with whatever happens. not too psyched about the added flower time, but youre prolly right poly, added some flower time by not being diligent. we shall see how long as the time passes.

good looks though matt n poly, you guys always got my back. i will def be taking ur advices and applying.

ok so i have a problem...

they are literally falling over. they look ok, despite the overfeeding, they are really starting to trich up but, they are so heavy that they are falling over!!! is this bad? it is right? i tried to stand them up by tying two of them together, but it is now doing nothing. i suppose i can tie them to the light suspension bar up top...but it sucks lol. they are so close! orange hairs finally starting to show...and like i mentioned they are HUGE and heavy...ill post a pic in a sec...

That's why a lot of us scrog to help support the plant and u get a nice even canopy. A bit late for that now though. Tying them up with string will help. This is a good problem to have! :)

haha agreed my friend! i think that is what i will end up doing...i will prolly use some thread and tie each cola up to the bar the light is hanging from. i think i will have fixed the problem for the future as i wont be using a quad pot lid for the res, i will be using a single 10 inch pot and mainlining so hopefully it will be much more centered and i will be easily able to use a scrog setup.

pretty stoked to see how much weight i get...these ladies are heavy! i will take some pics tonight after i tie up the colas. i also forgot to mention in my panic that i have started anew with my veg plant, got rid of the last 3 clones. so my cloner is resting, i have one decent lady in veg in the 10 inch netpot, and a mother that is all bonsai'd out. woot.

looking HUGE man, yeah i would just tie it up and keep on keeping on. those tote lids arent really great for supporting weight, have you considered using 5 gallon buckets instead and doing a RDWC style? all RDWC is i believe is a pump pumping water from a rezz through all the buckets.

hahaha i was REAL rough with them getn em in there....hopefully i didnt fuck things up too badly. i got SOOO sticky and it actually made my skin itchy! dono if thats necessarily good, but i almost NEVER handle these ladies like i did tonight and to really get my hands on them, i really felt the weight of them and got to inspect them all....some of the lower ones are finishing much faster, they look AMAZING already, oranging up nice and getting SUPER shiny! i know they are really stuffed into that square frame there, but there was literally nothing else i could do. i think they will finish fine. any thoughts?

well not really given any thought to the R part of RDWC since simple DWC is working so well. all about the bubbles :-) lol. anyway i think the small one in veg with the 10 inch netpot centered on the lid will be MUCH better. i will also do a frame from the getgo...think that will work beautifully. thanks for the compliment tho matty and love the idea of RDWC, can really only get better results right? but i figure if i dont have to spend another 60 bucks on pumps for my res's, ill be more in the green! ;-) well see where were at when its official weigh in time...i may have enough to make a penny or two, then im thinkin about adding a third res, just to...mmm perpetuate the perpetual! if you take my meaning...
