Hello Im new here and new to indoor growing and have a few questions.

My first Hydroponic setup is a 6 plant deep water system (rated for 20plants but really 6 )
I will be using a 400hps light with exuast fan and will have a fresh air intake and co2. the grow space will be 3.5x2.5 fully mylar'ed. I will be using advanced nutes and a high yeild strain.
the enviroment will be close to perfect etc temp, humidity, water temp.
Im new to this so some things might be off a bit.
Now with this setup what could I expect to yeild per plant. and if you see any improment to my setup, info would be great

thanks

That would be .84 grams per watt. If you can pull that off for your first indoor grow, it would be EXCELLENT. The very best growers shoot for one gram per watt ... and that's using a 1000 watt light. If you can manage an ounce per plant, you would be doing really, really well with the 400 HPS. The Co2 will make a big difference, so you just might pull it off. Good luck!

damm should have went for the 1000w system oh well. But for my first grow inside 400w and 6 plants hydro should be overwelming as it is for me.
Now will FIM or topping increase my yeild in this space . and is there any other tips you could give me.

I get better yields if I DON'T top the plants. I'd say with six plants, just keep them far enough apart so they don't grow into each other and block light, but close enough to where they all get good light coverage. Prune the lower branches and leave six to eight strong branches on each plant. All the plant's energy will go into those branches and form huge colas. Good luck.

my first indoor grow i had a 6 plant drip kit, 400 watt hps, and some bag seed. i only got one female out of all 6, and when she was dried and cured i got about 1 1/2 oz off of her. i did not have the fresh air intake, and did not have co2 so you might do better than me.
the problems i ran into was that the drip kit that i was using was one big reservoir, and in the veg stage the roots from all the plants got matted together. another problem i encountered near the end of the grow was the plastic nets that i hold the rocks in it was small, and could not support a almost 3ft plant. i vegged her for 1 full month before i flowered so i would suggest flowering her at week 3.
