4 weeks left - Fucked up with Mollassas !!!! Am I doomed?

You think you had it bad, my last grow i had bud rot to the extent that i lost about 30% of the crop and the rest got a case of the hermie's.

I know how you feel, your heart sinks when you open the door and its not like it should be.
Oh god I don't feel anybetter - just worse for you man!

I wouldn't sweat it too much. I think your buds look pretty nice. Mine are 5 weeks in and Ive lost a lot of leaves due to various stresses thru-out this current grow. My jack herer has a number of torched leaf tips up to half way point... The buds are still coming along pretty nicely tho'. You said you were 5 weeks into flower so you have 2-3 weeks to flush/ balance out. Your soil has nutes in it still, too. At this point you cant do too much either way so ride it out. Those buds will bulk up a lot more in the coming weeks and you can start thinking about the next grow. 8 )
Ive been picking them off and saving in a bowl for butter with the rest of the chaff.

Mr Fishy I think I love you.

Oh and do you think I should wait 12 hours after the second flush? or should I fert after my runoff shows 7.0... whata ya think?
I ran 3X's the amount of water as container size, (ie:3 gallons water/one gallon pot) slowly thru the planter, adding the fix nutes to the last gallon of rinse. I don't recall pH'ing this, but may have. It wasn't important, IMO.

Best save the love until you see if this actually helps YOU.
Actually after doing this, I noticed every time that the unaffected, and newer leaves are now very well connected to the stalk, many requiring cutting off rather than simply tugging. Let us know if you see the same.

What kind of mollasses are you using? It's interesting your mollasses is causing such a ph drop in your mix. I wonder if perhaps doing a blind mix (blind as in not having a ph and ec/ppm meter) might be the issue. I just say that because I use 1 tbs mollasses for every watering and feeding and it does not even affect my ph at all. My Fox Farm Grow Big and Bloom most definitely does though and after everything is said and done I actually have to apply Ph Up to my mix. Are you putting in vinegar with your nutes?? I've never had to apply ph down with my feed mix but I do when I just water with mollasses only. My ph out of tap is 7.8 and 300ppms (also I'm using Grandma's mollasses). Good luck and hope to see your crop recover!!!

Just did a test you may want to try when you get a meter. Results might vary depending on quality/contents of water but mollasses definitely drops ph.

Got 1 gallon of drinking water from a Brita filter: ph 6.5. Add 1 tablespoon of Grandmas Mollasses: ph 6.2. A pretty good drop. Luckily soil is a little forgiving and a flush should definitely help!!

Great test man! I will test mine when I get the meter. I would like to see the FF nutes in the mix as well. My drop PH tester reads my Brita water at 7.0

WTF?

Someone just gave me negative reputation points?

I don't even know who LUDACRIS is...?

How do we deal with people who are not here to help but to harm?
I did not even know you could give negatives... or why you would want to. I thought this forum was to help each other...

I am sad.

I agree .. they don't look THAT bad

don't change too much all at once ....

the buds look ok

I don't see any brown patches or spots or dead veins .....

watch out for cheap pH meters u can test your pH simply quickly cheaply with test paper ..it's a little hard to read .. and there are varing ranges on test paper .... test the runoff as well as the water u R giving ur plants between 6 and 7 is OK 6.5 is perfect ...... haha same as tomatoes

soil test kits are available, cheap and easy to use

mollasses doesn't have much Nitrogen .......leaves get green because they don't have Chlorophyl ... Chloraphyl has Mg at it's center and Nitrogen ... no Mg and no N = yellowing (no chlorophyl )

leaves yellow .. from the bottom ..up .. as the plant ages

some fish emulsions .. also have Mollasses as an added source of C (carbon) .. and H (Hydrogen) and to some extent Sulphur Iron etc ..

how far into flowering are you ? looks like maybe four or 5 more weeks ??

your plants look great. looks like a salt build up (locking the nutes out). my plant looked the same way. bought a oakton ph/tds meter. my runn off was running at 5.10. fixed the problem and been great ever since.get a good meter and learn about ppm or ask about it. i say flush a few times with a low ph of 5.5 some clearex and should be good. but thats just my opinion hope all turns out well.

sorry i read the first 2 pages and glanced over the rest. did you mention what nutes your using? appologize if you did already

5 weeks into 12/12. Most should finish at 8-9 weeks but I do have one Headband & PK & WW that will need 10 weeks to finish I am told.

I twice flushed until I got 7.0 runoff. Then reintroduced 1/3 strength FF Big Bloom & Mollasses. Also added a 1/3 dose of FF Grow Big to up the NI.

Will update on the next day cycle.

I know molasses is acidic BUT I use 1 table spoon every week in mine and I never have those kind of problems...
Molasses has always been my friend and a flush without will leave your plants hurting for micro nutes.

Yea I knew it was to good to be true. And its MY FAULT!
It worked great for the first three weeks I used it. The problem is if you don't have a PH pen you can't tell that it jacks your PH down into toxic acid land. Using a liquid tester was useless since it changes the color of the water. So here I am adding 1 TBS of Moll to my 6.0 water... shit I was likely watering with 4.0 or so....
I can't afford a PH pen at the moment.

Had the most amazing buds I have grown. I am 5 weeks in to 12/12. Big fucking cola on my Casey Jones... Today I checked my girls and about half of the leaves have turned yellow and are dropping. PANIC !!! Flushed with water but I am in soil (NEVER AGAIN!!!). Guessing I will wait till the next light cycle and flush again untill the run off is 7.0? Then do I add nutrients again? and add another week or so to the flowering. I'm I just fucked? Will overwatering to flush be just as bad at this point?

God damn I am such an idiot. I never should have added MOL without knowing more. So depressed this morning. Such a fucking newbie... and now that I add up all I spent on this grow set up I could have just bought chronic for half a year... stupid... looser
I did almost exactly what you did about 5 months ago.
Was using molasses for the first time and liking the results.
Filled up my 50 gal. barrel with a mix and watered with it.
2-3 days later I was using the same stuff, but it developed a foam layer on top and smelled funky.
I used it anyway and was shocked the next day when my girls were crispy fried all over the fan leaves.
It didn't happen to the same degree with all plants.
Some strains were slightly affected, others were never the same.
The end resulting flowers were bland and probably half as potent as they would have been.:cuss:

The moral to the story is this.
Fresh molasses is good.
Old molasses bad.

Good luck with these next few weeks.
I would do as you are, with the flushing and light nutes from here on out.

I think you are right. Now that I can test PH more exactly I see that Mollasses is only dropping the PH about .5 and the FF NUTEs about 1. with Big Bud 2. with Grow Big. Like an idiot I have been adding vinegar when my declorinated tap is about 7.5. So my feed batch now is Nutes + mollasses with no PH down and I am around 5.8 - 6.0. They seem happy today.

Thanks for the help. Big Ups.
