4 weeks no flowering

Already had some plants 4 weeks into flower in bud room( they ultimately rippenned and flowered fine after 9 weeks total). like I said, we put one more in the room, it started to flower. one week later, put 10 more plants in the room that were 12-15" tall.

The original plants continued to grow, rippenned and there was decent crop with those plants.

However, the single that went in stopped flowering and tops curled and went weird without continueing to bud. (see closeup of that plant in second pic). the plant that started flowering and stopped is in the right center of the pic with all plants. if you look really close, the center of that one looks like it's correctly flowering, it's just the tops that are doing the weird thing and not flowering.

The other 10 plants NEVER flowered and just continued to grow and ended 3-4' tall up in the light without any white hairs whatsoever. (see pic of plants in light). we had two of the flowering ones that flowered fine, but ended up spitting out a couple extra sprouts out of the buds that looked similiar to the tops on that close-up.

PH is 5.8 or so. humidity a little low since we just had a high pressure dry spell and had vent on to dispell odor.

Advanced nutes as prescribed. maybe a little light due to fear of nute-lock.

hydro with rockwool and clay balls in large pots.

We are baffled. tried 3 days of dark to jumpstart flowering. nothing. now on 11/13, nothing.

Thanks in advance!

looks like heat/light intensity stress..ive seen that stop forward progress into flowering...only other thing i know that will cause this is your room isnt truly dark...did anything change in between the 2 plants that budded fine and the rest that went in later and did not? id focus on that, finding a change in environment or in your life that could hae caused your problem.

Thanks all.

It did get really cold outside about the time the weirdness started. was getting down to 54 during dark period. added an extra heater promptly and got it back up to staying in the 70's.

I'm going in there tomorrow when the sun is out and do a light test. Let you know how that goes tomorrow.

there is no light leaks. it is very very dark in there. Also temp is in the sixties at lowest round the clock.

i'm thinking you've got nute lock out or not enough phosphorus to start flowering....do you flush before flowering? how about a P booster to help lessen the transition period between veg and flower?

Problem solved.

I was repeatedly being told that everything was "correct" and no issues. Thanks to you guys, I went back through everything and ultimately showed up before sunrise and then after sunset. Turns out that one of the timers "wasn't working".

Thanks for the quality feed back and advice!

NEXT QUESTION:

since thes girls were 4' tall, I hacked them back down to 30". will they sprout back from the big trunks and flower effectively?

Thanks again!

haha......so i was right and like two other people were right and you insisted no light leaks :dunce: .....always check that your light goes on and turns off at the proper time, i check mine religiously ill literally be in their at on time and off time at least three times a week! ....i had been helping a buddy, we move plants to the flowering room and i tell him ok dude you NEED to be in here tonight when the light shuts off and in here tom morning when it turns on so we know its set right and working...three weeks later he tells me oh hey man i was down here when the light was off and i noticed some light coming from the surge protector and the dehumidifier...sure enough a pollen sack ruined the crop. could have been from slightly high temps but regardless i dont get people, had he listened their may never have been an issue...easy shit to double check!! oh well learning experience for ya lol

haha and your next question is a joke man....why the hell would you do that, now you cannot flower for a couple weeks while it recooperates and it may give you trouble because youve stressed the hell out of it and ruined the vacuum seal of the phloem, if you really didnt have enough head room to flower it somehow then you already dropped the ball you should have realized your problem weeks ago and now ya i guess thats your only option but if you have enough room to flower just with doing some good lst and were only cutting your main top off because you were worried about penetration then the proper way to do that would have been to go with a lollipop style method for flowering......dont expect much for results on this grow with half of a plant...
