400 watt ballast help

Hello, i'm having an issue with my ballast

I have used a 430 bulb with it previously and it was quite hot/bright, my fans died and the bulb has been dim since; so i replaced my bulb and it appears to be cold now, not nearly as much heat coming off the bulb; easily can be looked at while on and my CFL's seem to be more intense then the HPS (23Watt CFL's x3).

I dont have a multimeter currently to measure @ fixture.

You may have burned out the ballast &/or capacitor running a bulb that draws more than the ballast is rated at. The only way to know for sure is to have someone experienced with working on electrical equipment properly & safely test it with a meter.

The ballast says its ratted for 430 watt bulbs;

I looked at the wiring and the wires coming out of the ballast are split and cracked, I might buy a full replacement ballast, or new kit.

are u using a t5 or what? and about this watt thing,you have one or two tubes?
