Welcome To My 1st Ever Grow Journal

*The Intro is still in the works
think of this as a sneak preview*


To start off, I am Hotwheelszac I have completed 1 grow in soil, it was 4 plants initially, one died so it became 3. 2 of them were northern lights, the other 2 (well one died) were California Sativa. My yield on this was "unfavorable"* I hope i can drastically improve my crop this time around.


I am a California MMJ Card holder, and my garden is combined with another MMJ Card holders garden, so its 12 plats all together.

I've read a whole lot about growing and different techniques for basically every step of the trip, but i have but 1 grow cycles expreience under my belt, In soil i will add which is completely different.

*yield was 1/2 Ounce NL Dried (Not medical quality lets say)
also, 10 grams California Sativa Dried (I rolled them into 20 1/2gram joints)
Yes I know this is weak! But im hopeful for the future


My Set-Up

400 watt HPS System from HTG Grow
Valuline Fan 4" moves 171 cfm I believe (alternate to a "CannFan")
This sucks heat off my light, blows it through the ducting and out a filter I made myself. It was quite simple i just Bought a Far Air Filter, Trimmer off some excess foam/plastic stuff with my pocket knife.. TBC

Getting To The Good Stuff

Okay the Strains that we are going to be looking at in this grow journal are as follows:

6 Northern Lights (I got them from a seed bank, i forgot which one. something in amsterdam, and not a very legit looking website one either... maybe amsterdanseeds?? idk)

the other 6 i got from attitude seed bank recently

2 Super Lemon Haze - Green House Seeds
2 Pineapple Express - G 13 Labs
1 White Berry - Paradise Seeds
1 LSD - Barneys farm

Germination

I have them germinating right now in paper towels suffed inside shot glasses ( 1 per strain type) theyve been there for 3 days now. SLH,PE,LSD have all hatched. WB is yet to. 3 of the Nl have hatched as well.

Today is Dec 1st, 2009​

sprouted.​

see i was messing with the other ones, and i happend to break 2 of them while still germinating (my bad)​

two of them have a plant coming of that looks all red. its like the seed is bleeding, idk what that means.​

one of them didnt hatch yet.​

Yesterday I took down my florescent light, and put up my hps system. the biggest plant so far (the LSD) grew like 25% of its initial mass in 1 day, pretty cool.​

but the bottom line for me right now is that i want my plants to sprout, all i got is 4/12, anything that can help? feel free to post if you can help =)​

when germinating make sure you dont let the paper towel dry out ever. also they like it warm and dark. when i germinate they are placed on the side of my heater. some seeds germinate best in hotter climates like 70 degrees +, others 60 degrees is fine. good luck.

Okay, Pics on here very soon.

so all i have are the original 4 sprouted, and they are growing great.
they each have about 3 nodes on them. and are about 3"

none of the other plants have sprouted. and i dont see them doing it at all.

So far ive changed the water once since theyve been in their 4 gallon buckets. Boy i gotta get pics on here

but basically what ive done with the nutes so far is ive been using fox farm hydro grow formula in the light blue bottle, and i put 3 tsp in each 4 gallon container the 1st time through. (the previous week didnt have any nutes) then the following week i put in 5 tsp per 4 gallon bucket.

like i said pics need to be uploaded. they look great tho =D
