400 watt hps

how many plants are ideal for a 400 watt light system.?.

don't know the best. I run 4-9. For the light footprint. you can get 4 in the 3x3 area.

i got 6 going now and thought that was maybe to many in such a small room

what kind of plants? hydro or soil? size of grow room/tent. ive got six in soil under a 600 watt hps.( well i did have but i've got another 400 hps i managed to fit in). need a bit more information for an answer. it also depends on what kind of grow your doing? are you planning on vegging long, coz if u are then remember the smaller the light the less penetration its gaunna get to the bottom/sides of the plants. i think in my sort of set up i'd only try for 4 to 6 plants under 400 watts. my tent is 4' x 4' x 6.5'. all in 3 gallon pots , vegged for 5 weeks. if i'd went any longer the plants would outgrow my area. but then again i'm not topping or even pruning that much. i likes them bushy!!!!

its soil... in a room about 3x6 , i got some super lemon haze some La women and some white widow. they are doing great really , but i think the buds could be bigger .

I normally would say 4-6 good size plants under a 400w, I've done 4) 5gal soil under a 400w in a 2x2 makeshift closet and came out with good white widow. Heres some pics up for you to compare. These were easily 4ft tall.





also check my grow journal cuz i got 2) 400w hps over 22 plants both hydro and soil.

yeah i didnt use 5gal buckets last time and regret it big time.. plants did not get very big and didnt get a lot .. i also grew white widow

where is the best place to order seeds online to the united states ??? and does anyone know anything about bubble gum seeds if they are good quality or not >???? thanks

I just finished some bubbalicious this last run which is kinda like bubble gum, i didnt think it was too bad but i just got some bubble gum clones and they're doing great.
Theres another thread on here listing us shipping seedbanks, the only one i can think of off the top of my head is nirvana.
