Cutting off Nitrogen and dramatically increasing P ratios is bad news and a myth. It's something that people confuse with the plant needing some more Phosphorus during flowering, which is true. But it's gotten blown out of proportion to the obvious point that folks use P saturated bloom fertilizers with little to no N. It doesn't take a genius to figure out if a plant is healthy or not. But some people are under the impresson that the sickly look with fan leaves falling off left and right in flowering is normal. I've read many posts similar to : "I don't know what's wrong with said plant in such and such stage of flowering, what's the rememdy?" And quick to answer is someone saying something like : "It's normal for the plant to start losing leaves and look like that towards the end of flowering." By no standard is it a productive plant if you're seeing foliage rot and drop like that. I've learned to read the plants and give them what they need.Being a noob grower I just wanted to get things right.I've read where some guys stop with the nitrogen and some guys that use it up to harvest.As you mentioned I'd like to keep them healthy and green.Thanx for the help bro.

Why so?I use them all the time cheap and easy to move and dispose of..But if thats how you feel.Fuck grow bags. Thought I might try something new for the hell of it. Never using them again.
I'm just picky. I like the best stuff I guess you could say. Getting along just fine but the durability factor is killin me. I'm just waiting for the one time I grab a bag and it rips. That and I prefer rigidity in a pot. I don't feel comfortable knowing I can moosh around my root ball as I please while the plant is in it's container. Not that I go out of my way to smash up my roots. Idk. Like I said, picky.
Well if thats how u feel.I have not had a bag rip yet and I always take them out 2weeks before harvest to flush.But go with what you like.
I pick them up and rotate them every day. I also take them out for inspection daily. So for me, yes, regular pots will continue to be the grow medium container of choice. I should add that none of the bags have any tears or rips, it's more the flimsy feel that I don't like.
I was actually talking about generic grow bags(if you were talking about smart pots wyteberry this might make the difference). Just heavy all black plastic. Smart pots are a step up from that. I originally wanted smart pots but the place I went to only had the plain grow bags so I got them anyway. At that moment I didn't have time to drive around to another place to get them and I needed to transplant ASAP. So here I am with the bags. I usually use white square plastic pots of varying sizes. I have 4"(probably 16oz) 7"(about 1.5 Gal) and 12"(3-4 gal). Reusable, excellent drainage, rigid and durable. Going back to those next round.
