Also, it is not a scrog any more. TUKO grew into the screen and got 20 big twinkie sized colas. She far exceeded my expectations. And continues to. I'll get pics up today. Her buds were too close together and formed a block of nug. I had to cut the screen out as this was the only way to space the buds and avoid likely mold. I'm a bit bummed this didn't finish on the screen. Live and learn. I have never run these genes and didn't know what to expect.

I decided to take out the entire screen and use stakes for the jack's. They have very weak stems. They are perfect for scrogging and I will use it again for them.

I cut samples of each plant at 40 days, and hung in the intake of my duct. It takes four days to get to jointability. JH A is the most ripe. Undefinable bery mixed with the effects of prematurity and quick drying ensued. Buzz cut straight through what was in my head. But left soon. JH B not worth it this early. TUKO has been identified as Crystal x stawberry cough. At 40 days it is covered id sparkly trichomes. Looks frosted in diamonds, compared to jack's fuzzy appearance. Light berry/herbal notes, and a very up buzz at first. Then I couldn't remember anything at all. It had 50/50 head body. Very up body high, but you can't figure out what to do with all the energy. LOL. Jack seems more inspirational.

Samples taken from JH a and TUKO at 44 days are somehting else. Jack is now intensely fruity. I'm amazed at the difference 4 days have made. I also got a new reflector on the 41st day too so this may play into things. Now a spliff tastes exactly like a mango pina-colada. At first it goes pineapple, then thick mango comes on, and as you hold it in and through the exhale strong coconut piles on. If this flavor fades or changes for the worse, i will pick these at this point from now on. Even quick dried, and uncured, it tastes worlds better than 98% of the crap i spent money on. This should cure nicely. Oh, yeah, the buzz is thick now. sweat at the brow for the first 15 minutes and then your chakras come alive. Still not a long duration.

TUKO at 44 days is still drying. These were cut the day I watered and are plump. Speaking of plump, the older calyxes are becoming huge and are COVERED in trichomes. Still a light odor, no skunk, all sweet. Pretty un-MJ actually. I would feel comfortable without carbon if jack wasn't in the room. I cut a 7" branch from the bottom and it had two nugs at the bottom, and a 3" nug-tip. The lower most bud looks like it came from a different plant altogether than the tip. A plump pyramid of calyxes vs. blah. If the ripening continues throughout the colas like this I am in for a treat/

AS you can see, the trichomes are just going cloudy on JH A. I hope to cut her at 53 days. JH B has all clear, as does TUKO. I'm thinking they will go 60. I am only feeding pH'ed water at this point to all of them. JH A has lost much of her fan leaves to yellowing from the bottom up and is swelling nicely. JH B has lost 20% of her fans and pistil formation slowed in the last two days. Tuko has lost 3-5% and nugs are going crazy. I think she'll rival both jack's together in weight.

Very nice shit. I am about 23 days into flowering one of my smaller JH moms and it is nice to see how nice they are going to get. I originally planned to do scrog, and will attempt it again if the SoG doesn't work out.

When it is harvest time make sure you take lots of pics, some of the harvesting process as well and some good nug pics, not just the biggest. =)

Harvest time will bring hours of eyecandy for you ladies and gentlemen. :) Jack is the bomb. Depending on the pheno you get, expect stretch. The real indica one is boring and uneventful at harvest. Oddly enough, I found a seed in the piece I sampled. Unripe, prolly ten days in or so. I looked for male flowers carefully throughoub the grow and saw none, and found no pollen. The buds I got of jack that these clones came from had a few seeds too. I looked all over since and found no other seeds. Good luck with yours.

Thank you everyone to the compliments. It's nice to get some feedback. Only my girlfriend and someone 4100 miles away know about this closet and it sucks to not be able to show anyone. My brother is dating an unstable girl half his age so until that changes, he will remain in the dark. I'm his hook up and I won't have enough for us both. I have cut ties slowly with my sources to eliminate liability as the heat has been on, so to speak, where I live. My dealer chumped me last time. Called me up to claim diesel, i get there he hands me purps. I say wtf? He says yeah it's awesome, but he's on probation and doesn't smoke. I ask for the diesel he gives me shit. I ask for 50/50 he says" I don't do that anymore". Says he only brought a little diesel and he'll put in a nug for me as a "favor" pulls out the 2 gallon ziploc 3/4 full and tosses in a bowls worth. These purps are chemical laden shwag. No flavor but tar. Each hit burns your windpipe and I've not smoked any since Friday. I wasted my money for the last time. I was moving lb's before the grow, and have since dropped everyone but my brother. He'll get some dank for Xmas but I'll just have to smile and say, " man I wish I had a patch of that for myself".

black bud all gone :( I'm quitting till this batch is cured. It will be the first time I went longer than two days without in twenty years. I have a great pic to post . Around 6 years of Pyrex collecting soaking in a gallon of alcohol. Actually it's half my collection. All my dry pieces. I want to start all my glass fresh. I'm going to bed now and will get that and the promised pics of tuko. Jacks are yellowing really nicely but oddly on each plant, there are one big bud and one small lower bud on the other side that busted out a crown of pistils. These four buds are gonna look like frickin parasols when they're done if they keep it up.

my girlfriend at the time called me "hulk" those two days. So I released some lady bugs to take down the last few fungus gnats. My current girlfriend had one go up her nose in her sleep last night. She can't wait for me to build in the garage now. Hehe.

your grow looks yummy and your camera rocks! what are you shooting with?
Thanks, and it's a point and shoot canon powershot sd750. It has a brain that can do the white balance as opposed to the rebel xt I have tried in vain to use. Shots are taken in digital macro mode zoomed to 4x, with white balance set to tungsten.

Is there something special to macro mode or do I just need a better camera or an attachment lens? I am using a basic Nikon Coolpix S550. Obviously not professional camera but has been great in all other areas. However when I try to do macro I just can't get focused in well enough. And if I take a pic in focus it never comes out as detailed or at least as close as to ones I have seen. Am I missing something?

Btw take more pics =)

Well it all depends on camera used. I dont have a Nikon and can't comment on it's modes. In macro it is always best to follow these rules : more light (very important), use tripod, try to shoot in lowest iso possible on camera unless using a SLR. My camera has a digital macro mode which zooms in within its GPU to allow capturing a crop of the total macro field. Yes it's jargon, but it lets me do with this $200 tiny toy, what will cost me $800 in lenses for my $900 digital SLR. Granted the $1700 photos will look as such but I cant afford a new lens and can't get jiggy with the Rebel XT.This photo is in 1x macro, the next is 4x digital macro. These are of Jack Heerer clone A taken at 49 days, hung for five days, bagged for two, and has been curing for ten in glass. Tastes like non descript tropical fruit now and gives a great cerebral giggly high. I took some of that plant to have an indication of the buzz change as it matures. I have also harvested Jack Herer clone B in two stages, first at 56 days, and the rest at 64. Sorry about the running together paragraphs as I am not using java.
