400w HPS in Dark Room grow tent. HELP!

I'm thinking of getting a DR80, but I have a 400w HPS light with a cool tube reflector. Is there anyway for me to vent the light separately in the DR80? Maybe a way to make another hole or something? If not, how can I keep the temps low enough and vent the light?

Your hood has 6" flanges? Hook a reducer to the 5" fan and run 6" softline so that the fan pulls the air from the cab, through the hood and out of the box.

What kind of 5" fan? Also, what is 6" softline? Ducting? Should I put a carbon filter on the end of the fan in the cab, so when it exhausts it doesn't smell?

The specs say the dr80 has an integrated 5" fan. The flexible 6" foil shit is what I'm talking about and yes, I'd def add a filter if you're flowering in there.

Umm... I don't think the DR80 comes with a fan. Maybe you meant a 5" vent port?

Yeah, I don't think it comes with a fan either, but I could be wrong. I know it has a 5" vent port (3 actually). What kind of cfm inline fan should I get to move that much air? I currently have a 4" inline fan & carbon filter, that I would like to use on the DR80.

A 4 inch inline should work fine. Is it a Vortex or Can Fan, or something similar?

You want to figure out your cubic feet for your tent, which for the DR80 is around 35 cubic feet.
Then you want to make sure you can change the air in that room at least once every 5 minutes.
So, you want a fan that has enough CFM (cubic feet per minute) to do that.

Just remember that tight bends in ducting will greatly reduce your cfm, as will passing it through a filter.
Just make sure you have a fan with high enough cfm and you should be fine.

Now, would you please go to my post and give me a bump? I want some opinions on there.

OOps, my bad. I thought it said it had a 5" fan. (I thought that was an odd size anyway.)
Yeah, I'd use the 4"
