400w Inda Gro Induction Cabinet Scrog. RP Headband

hey. Just received my inda gro 400w light. Ive been vegging for ~ 2 months. I had 3 plants. 2 HB(headband) and 1 og kush 18. but the OG got powder mildew and i just removed it. Now I have a 2 and a half square foot hole of no nodes. very unfortunate. I tried to stick 2 clones in there. Not sure how they will do.

setup:
cab 6' wide by 4' tall by 2' deep. Intake from portable ac. exhaust through carbon filter

nutes K.I.S.S. gen hydro. 5ml micro 8-10 ml floro (veg)

The plants are bubbleponic in 3 gal buckets. There is a hole cut about 4 inches from the bottom. That hole ensures I do not over/under fill. I hand water every 2-3 days until water starts to drip out of the hole. This new method to me has brought me to today and they are doing wonderful.

bump for first scrog and first induction...any advice appreciated

basicly ive been vegging for too long. its been about 2 months. the screen is secured with screws, so the plants cant raise it. i know it looks real loose in the pictures. the back of the screen is pretty empty. I didnt predetermine where I was going to put the nodes. Do you think it would be possible to pull the screen up and move them around a little. I have time to veg for like 2-3 more weeks. another problem is that my screen is 1" squares. I was reading and some1 said 2x3" squares or 2 x 2's minimum. Am I going to have to cut the screen once they are like 3-4 weeks in flower when they are in there final node placement? thanks

thanks. I am trying to do some headband research. I am trying to figure out when i should let them grow untamed. ( i hear 2-3 weeks into flower) I am liking this induction light. I also added 2, 70 w hps' since it only covered 4.5 ft long area. I will updated pics of the box fully set up with portable ac attached. I am at a comfortable 75* in there.

just did some heavy trimming last night on the left HB. less so on the right HB(i will attack it later). I am really happy that i trimmed otherwise I wouldnt be able to see all nodes in the back.

the cab is finally complete, with the exception of adding some small side lighting later on. maybe a 150w 6500k t5. I secured a piece of glass on it so if the plant hit the light they will not burn.(for future).

induction bulb:

the bulb is about 12 inches from the screen. Not sure if that will be a problem if the buds get too high?

intake/cooling:
I have this sick looking air setup going. It looks like the back of a submarine. The honeywell fans are screwed onto the side. with a hose coming from my portable a/c into the box(on opposite side of carbon filter), laying on top of the honeywell fans. blowing cold a/c over everything. some of the stems are actually redish and getting tougher/ more ruggid from too cold a/c(nodes closest to fan) .

exhaust:
the 2 honeywell fans are blowing across the screen to the carbon filter. A 435 cfm fan is sucking through the carbon filter blowing air outside the box. Keeps a negative pressure in any leak/hole in the cab.

temp:
75 at the furthest end of the cab by the carbon filter(exhaust). That is, the digital temp sitting on the screen with nothing to cover it from absorbing heat from the light.

empty 3-4 sq feet on the section of the box not covered by light: ---need help please--

not too sure what to do. I have 2 clones sitting under a 70w hps which is like 14-16 inches away.. about a foot off of the screen though. I have money for more 70 watters if necessary. They are inconvenient though and tough to hang.(the ones from home depot)
The screen is covering this unused area but is screwed into the wall from side to side keeping tension. I wish i could remove the part of the screen not covering anything but may be impossible. I would scrog them but I must flip them withing a couple days due to time restrictions. Also have 2 more clones I can put into soil. Im thinking of cutting holes for the plants. I hopefully can keep tension on the line though.

pictures 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 is right to left inside the cab

I had a similar problem with the length of the light, but I found that once I switched the innermost plants with the outermost, they're all doing quite well - my clones were a little rough when first placed under the light.

If you have some CFLs, I'd throw the clones under there, I feel like CFL leads to quick upward growth. A good amount of side branching happens, but the nodes don't grow very much. Supercrop the clones over sideways after a week or so, and you'll get even light to all the nodes along the main stem which haven't grown much. After another week or so those will be growing up through the screen...

I've never done a scrog before, however I had to super crop my last grow as things stretched much more than expected, and I super cropped my last couple mothers, they produced an incredibly larger amount of clones once I did.

thanks. the clones from the trash can are 2 week 1 day into 12/12 and the scrog is on a 36 hr off light schedule than will be put into 12/12. I am going to add the 2 week clones from the trash can to the flower box. Some of them are in small sprite bottles with the tops cut off. never transplanted with ocean forest soil. Any idea how they will do. will add pics in a few days. i am afraid i over vegged and over crowded. we will see.
