Ok guys I have been reading the forums for some time now and I am a sitting on the fence regarding my Veg lighting.

I can buy either:

1. Single T5 4FT Floro Light -
(This 4ft 54W tube emits 4600 lumens and produces light with a color temperature of 6400 Kelvins to provide plants the perfect spectrum for growth)

or

2. a 400W MH Universal Bulb
(+ 36,000 initial lumens
+ 25,500 mean lumens
+ 4000°K)

My question is first:

-Can I use the MH Universal bulb (400w) in a HPS Ballast of 400w. The FAQ section says I can as long as they are of equal or lesser wattage.

and...
-Which one should i Buy?

thanks again!:joint:

If it is a fairly new h.p.s light they are set to go off and on at millisecons faster than the eye can see this is to stop the bulb getting to hot and make the light more eco friendly useing less electric. That is why if you have a new light and ballast a good one then u will hear a clicking every second or so this is the ballast turing the light off then back on again but it is that fast you will never see it talk to your dealer about it.I for one would not mix the two both are seperate lighting systems.
