Dude, you did not have to publicly apologize, but thank you! We spoke in a PM and I can always use a good friend like you.
Peace.

My 400w hps puts out 55000 lumens.....Upgrade the bulb....I keep a box fan on it and it stays cool...

i have a 3 x 2 x 5'3 area with 600w . it gets too hot.
i have a 6: inline fan but its venting in the closet "closet grow" and i think its re-circulating hot air. is there anything i can buy to cool down the closet without spending $100 on AC unit???

any advice to bring down temps?
I might have to go buy some CFLs and Veg with that if temps keep this high....

i have a window but unfortunately i don't exhaust OUT of the closet !!! I wouldn't know where / how to. Closet is right next to bathroom, so it could vent out the roof through the little bathroom pipe, but i can't really modify the home. its new and its my parents' home. :/ im using 2, 42 w equivalent 150 CFl's in the tent now and its still 85. I did leave the closet door open, however. though i am trying to be cautious with that b.c. of light leekage, and i don't have solid curtains up yet.

it will get hot real quick with the light you need in this area without exhausting the heat some how, whether you use a cool tube, or exhausting reflector, or if you just use a big exhaust fan at the top of your room to blow all that heat out may work as well.
definately go with the 600 or 1000, or mix spectrum, 400 hps, 400 mh
